Johnson and Kelly Earn Player of the Week Honors

MAC WBB EAST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Erica Johnson, Ohio    

Guard, Redshirt Sophomore, Mansfield, Ohio (Mansfield Senior)
 
 Erica Johnson was spectacular in Ohio's wins over NIU and Bowling Green. At NIU, Johnson set a career-high with 32 points on 7-of-11 shooting, where she was 10-of-12 from the free throw line. She surpassed her old career-high of 26, which she also set on the road at NIU. Johnson followed that performance up with 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting in the win over the Falcons. Johnson was 4-of-8 from deep at NIU and 5-of-8 from deep against Bowling Green. She averaged 27 points per game last week while pulling in six rebounds in each contest.

MAC WBB WEST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Micaela Kelly, Central Michigan

Central Michigan junior guard Micaela Kelly continued her dominant season this past week as the Chippewas collected a pair of Mid-American Conference victories over Eastern Michigan and Toledo to run their league record to a perfect 7-0. The Detroit native finished the week averaging a double-double at 24 points and 10 rebounds per game. In an 89-82 road win over the Eagles on Wednesday, Kelly finished the game with a team-high 29 points while dishing out five assists and bringing down nine rebounds. In Saturday's 73-66 home win over the Rockets, she posted a double-double racking up 19 points to go along with a team-best 11 boards. On the season, Kelly paces the MAC and ranks No.2 in the NCAA in scoring averaging 24.2 points per contest.

Jordyn Dawson, Akron

Junior Jordyn Dawson strung together two of her best games in an Akron uniform in her first season with the Zips program and helped UA to a win over Miami. Dawson scored 20.5 points per game, pulled down 7.5 rebounds per match-up, ripped 4.0 steals per contest, and averaged 2.0 assists per game while shooting 60-percent from the floor and 76.9-percent from the free-throw line. Against the RedHawks, Dawson scored 24 points (one point shy of her career-high), tallied a career-high 13 rebounds and six steals in the Zips 70-62 victory against the MAC East opponent. The Zips forward recorded season-highs in minutes (33), free throws made (7), rebound, and steals. On the road against Western Michigan, Dawson scored a team-high 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting, two rebounds, two steals, and one assist. 
 
Oshlynn Brown, Ball State     
Forward, Junior, Chillicothe, Ohio (Chillicothe)        
 
Brown was a leader this week on the court, helping the Cardinals to wins over Buffalo and Miami. Brown opened the week with a dominating performance over the Bulls, she scored a game-high 24-points while also pulling down 11 rebounds. Brown scored 14 points in the third quarter alone including a 3-pointer. On Saturday, Brown chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds Saturday in the Cardinals victory over the RedHawks. For the week, Brown averaged 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds. She registered ended the week with back-to-back double-double performances. She now has 27 double-doubles for her career. Brown is nearing the 1,000 point mark she currently has 912 points, she also has 711 career rebounds.

Hanna Hall, Buffalo    
Guard, Junior, Hamilton, ON, Canada (Lincoln Prep)           
 
Junior Hanna Hall had a breakthrough week on the court as she recorded two straight double-figure scoring games, averaging 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists on the week, while also shooting 50% from behind the arc. The Hamilton, ON native led the Bulls in scoring with 17 points, including a career-high five three's, on Wednesday at Ball State. On Saturday, Hall scored 12 points, including 10 in the second half, and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds to help lead Buffalo to a come-from-behind win at Kent State.
 
Autumn Hudson, Eastern Michigan  
Center, Junior, Richwood, Ohio (North Union)         
 
Junior Autumn Hudson was outstanding for the Green and White as it split a pair of games with Central Michigan, Jan. 22, and Northern Illinois, Jan. 25. Hudson began her week with a solid outing against the Chippewas, where she recorded eight points of 4-of-7 shooting, adding five boards along the way. Hudson was a game-changer against NIU, Jan. 25, helping EMU to record its fourth conference win of the season, 62-55. The Richwood, Ohio native scored a team-best 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting, while hauling in 10 rebounds, also a team-high. Her double-double performance was her second of the season and third of her career. Additionally, the performance marked the first time this season that Hudson registered a block, steal, and assist in the same game. She led all Eagles in rebounds per game this week (7.5), and was second in points per game (10.5).

Lauren Dickerson, Miami

Senior guard Lauren Dickerson averaged 20.0 points per game in Miami's two road games last week, recording two 20-point games. Dickerson set the program record for career three-pointers attempted (883) last week and now sits just two points behind second on the RedHawks' all-time scoring list with her 1,977 career points. She scored 20 points on a team-high eight field goals on Wednesday at Akron, adding a team-high four assists in the contest. At Ball State on Saturday, Dickerson was the lone player in the game to reach the 20-point plateau and led Miami's roster with a season-high nine rebounds. She is tied for fourth in the conference and leads the team with 17.1 points per game. Dickerson is third in the MAC in three-pointers per game, tied for fourth in steals per game and is tied for seventh in assists per game.
 
Courtney Woods, NIU            
Forward, Redshirt-Senior, Brisbane, Australia (St. Margaret's)      
 
Woods averaged 24.5 points per game this week against Ohio and Eastern Michigan while shooting 52.9 percent from the field and 50 percent from the three-point arc. The redshirt-senior opened the week with 22 points and four assists against Ohio on Jan. 22, making a season-high six three-pointers as NIU tied a single-game program-record with 15 threes. On Saturday, Woods had a season-high 27 points and nine rebounds at Eastern Michigan. Woods has scored at least 20 points in each of the last three games, and four out of the last five. 
 
Nakiah Black, Toledo  
Guard, Junior, Concord, N.C. (Forest Trail Academy)           
 
Junior Nakiah Black paced the Rockets with 19 points, six caroms, a squad-tying best four helpers and one steal in a team-high 34 minutes at MAC West Division leader Central Michigan on Saturday. The 2019-20 Preseason All-MAC West Division Team honoree scored 11 of her 19 points in the second period, helping the Rockets claim a 33-31 lead against the Chippewas at intermission. She returned to the lineup after sitting out the previous game vs. arch-rival Bowling Green on Jan. 18 with a concussion sustained late against Akron on Jan. 15. The two-time team captain has now led the Rockets in scoring on a squad-best eight occasions this year.
 
Breanna Mobley, Western Michigan
Forward, R-Sr, Lansing (Waverly)     
 
Redshirt Senior Breanna Mobley led the scoring charge for the Broncos this past week in MAC play. On Wednesday, she led the squad with 17 points and was two rebounds shy of a double-double, and on Saturday she added 15 points with six rebounds. Mobley is currently at 999 career rebounds, looking to hit 1,000 to go along with 1,000 career points, earned in the 2017-18 season. When the milestone is reached, she will be the second all-time in WMU history to have recorded over 1,000 points and rebounds. Mobley is currently averaging a double-double with 13.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, and has held the lead rebounding average in the MAC since November.
