TOLEDO, Ohio -- Dylan Frye scored 22 points and dished off six assists as Bowling Green defeated Toledo 85-79 for its sixth straight win on Saturday night.
 
Justin Turner added 20 points and Daeqwon Plowden had 12 points and 13 rebounds for Bowling Green (15-5, 6-1 Mid-American Conference). Caleb Fields added 11 points.
 
Marreon Jackson had 27 points and six assists for the Rockets (11-9, 3-4). Luke Knapke added 23 points and nine rebounds. Willie Jackson had 10 rebounds.
 
Bowling Green plays Ball St. at home on Tuesday. Toledo plays Kent State at home on Tuesday.
 
Central Michigan 71, Ball State 66

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -- Dallas Morgan scored 21 points as Central Michigan defeated Ball State 71-66 on Saturday.
 
Tahjai Teague had 17 points, a career-high 18 rebounds and five blocks for Ball State.
 
Morgan hit a 3-pointer and later a two-point field goal to turn a five-point Central Michigan lead into a 68-58 advantage with 1:22 remaining and the Chippewas had little trouble closing out the victory.
 
David DiLeo had 14 points for Central Michigan (11-8, 4-2 Mid-American Conference). Kevin McKay added 13 points and nine rebounds. Rob Montgomery had 11 points.
 
The Chippewas forced a season-high 28 turnovers.
 
Luke Bumbalough added 13 points and Jarron Coleman had 12 points, six rebounds, seven turnovers and one assist for the Cardinals (11-8, 4-2).
 
Both teams have road games on Tuesday -- Central Michigan at Miami (Ohio) and Ball State at Bowling Green.

DEKALB, Ill. -- Eugene German registered 12 points as Northern Illinois beat Western Michigan 58-52 on Saturday.
 
Darius Beane had 11 points for Northern Illinois (11-9, 4-3 Mid-American Conference). Trendon Hankerson added 11 points. Tyler Cochran had six rebounds.
 
Lacey James, the Huskies' second leading scorer coming into the contest at 9 points per game, shot only 18 percent in the game (2 of 11).
 
Michael Flowers had 14 points for the Broncos (9-11, 2-5). Brandon Johnson added 12 points. B. Artis White had six rebounds.
 
Northern Illinois matches up against Ohio at home on Tuesday. Western Michigan plays Central Michigan at home next Saturday.

ATHENS, Ohio -- Loren Cristian Jackson had a career-high 35 points as Akron edged past Ohio 88-86 on Saturday.
 
Jackson shot 13 for 17 from the field, including 7 of 9 on 3-pointers.
 
Tyler Cheese had 16 points for Akron (16-4, 6-1 Mid-American Conference), which earned its fifth straight road victory. Channel Banks added 12 points. Xeyrius Williams had 12 points.
 
Both teams set season records for scoring during the game. Akron totaled 48 points in the first half, a season best for the visitors, while the 54 second-half points for Ohio were the best of the season for the home team.
 
Jordan Dartis had 21 points for the Bobcats (10-10, 2-5). Ben Vander Plas added 18 points. Jason Preston had 15 points and nine assists.
 
Akron matches up against Buffalo at home on Tuesday. Ohio matches up against Northern Illinois on the road on Tuesday.
 
Miami 73, Eastern Michigan 68

OXFORD, Ohio -- Isaiah Coleman-Lands scored 16 points off the bench and Nike Sibande scored 14 and Miami beat Eastern Michigan 73-68 on Saturday.
 
Dae Dae Grant added 14 points and Dalonte Brown 10 and the Redhawks kept Eastern Michigan winless in Mid-American Conference play. Miami (9-11, 2-5) ended a two-game losing streak.
 
Coleman-Lands' 3-pointer with 10:38 remaining broke a 52-all tie and Miami never trailed again. Darion Spottsville made two foul shots with 30 seconds to go and the Eagles were within 69-68, but Coleman-Lands scored a layup with 18 seconds left. Thomas Binelli missed a 3 for the attempt to tie, and Grant sealed the win with a pair of free throws.
 
Binelli led EMU (10-10, 0-7) with 17 points, Boubacar Toure scored 16 with 12 rebounds and four blocks, Spottsville scored 12 and Ty Groce 10.
