Akron enters Mid-American Conference Eastern Division play after coming off its first home and MAC setback of the season. The Zips own a 14-4 overall record with a 4-1 league mark. Akron is on the road for the next 3-of-4 games after opening league play against five consecutive western division opponents. He became the third coach to reach the mark with the Cardinals, joining Jim Hinga (154) and Ray McCallum (126).  Saturday’s win over Miami came in Ball State’s only home contest in a five-game stretch.
