Women's Soccer Weekly Accolades Announced

Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Players of the Week
Tatiana Hawkins-Dabney, Ball State, Midfielder
Junior, Atlanta, Ga.   
Hawkins-Dabney helped Ball State stay undefeated by scoring two game-winning goals in two matches this week. The Atlanta native scored against Illinois State in the 84th minute for the first goal of the match to lift BSU to a 1-0 victory. On Sunday, she struck again in the 67th minute to give Ball State a 2-1 win over Loyola Chicago. Hawkins-Dabney has scored three goals on the year which places her second in the MAC. Her three game-winners are tied for most in the league. Overall for the week she produced five shots with four on goal, and two goals earned her four points. Her six points on the year is the second-best mark in the conference.

Morgan Otteson, Western Michigan, Forward        
Sophomore, Grand Rapids, Mich. (Northview)       
Otteson scored both goals for the Broncos last week as they split with Notre Dame and Cincinnati. Against the Fighting Irish she gave the Broncos a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 34th minute. In Sunday's win over the Bearcats she forced a turnover while pressing the UC back line and then finished it off herself for the eventual game-winner in the 18th minute. The sophomore was extremely efficient with her chances, scoring on both of her shots.

Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Tristin Stuteville, Ball State, Goalkeeper
Grad, Kansas City, Mo.          
Stuteville remained undefeated on the year by earning a clean sheet against Illinois State in a 1-0 victory, and racking up seven saves in a 2-1 win against Loyola Chicago. Stuteville is the only keeper in the MAC to record three shutouts, and leads the league in wins with four. Her solid play in goal has Ball State on a 15-game unbeaten streak which is a program record. The Kansas City native has 15 saves on the year, 10 of which came this week.

Kennedy White, Bowling Green, Forward   
Freshman, Canton, Mich. (Plymouth)          
Bowling Green freshman forward Kennedy White scored a goal for the second-straight match as the Falcons downed Valparaiso, 2-0, in the team's only match of the week. Kennedy, who made her first collegiate start vs. the Crusaders, headed home a corner kick midway through the second half to extend BG's lead to two goals. Through three matches this season, White has two goals and four points to tie for the team scoring lead.

Maureen Kennedy, Bowling Green, Defender         
Senior  Cypress, Calif. 
Kennedy contributed to a Falcon victory at both ends of the field last week. In BG's lone match of the week, Kennedy opened the scoring with what proved to be the winning goal in the 10th minute of a 2-0 victory over Valparaiso. The goal was her second of the young season. Kennedy also spearheaded a BG defensive effort which limited the Crusaders to just three total shot attempts -- and zero shots on goal -- over the 90 minutes. Through three matches this season, Kennedy has two goals and four points to tie for the team lead in each category. She is now tied for 10th in BGSU history in career points, with 48, and she is deadlocked for 12th in career goals, with 12.

Zoie Reed, Central Michigan, Goalkeeper   
Senior, Woodbridge, Conn. (Amity Regional)          
Reed contributed another standout performance in Central Michigan's 1-1 tie at Big Ten foe Northwestern. Reed kept the Wildcats off the board for 85-plus minutes, facing a hail of 15 NU shots, including 10 on goal and, warding off 10 corner kicks. Reed made nine saves, one shy of tying her career high, set last week at UIC. Through two games, Reed boasts a sterling .950 save percentage and a 0.41 goals against average.

Sabrina McNeill, Eastern Michigan, Forward
R-Jr., Whitby, Ontario (Henry Street)           
McNeill logged two starts for the Eagles, recording three shots and one shot on target a Michigan State. McNeill helped try and create some chances for Eastern Michigan at Louisville as well.

Mabel Dunn, Eastern Michigan, Goalkeeper
R-Jr., Oakville, Ontario (White Oaks Secondary)     
In two battles with power five teams, Dunn recorded 15 saves in 23 shots on goal to help give the Eagles a fighting chance in those games.
 
Trudy Quidzinski, NIU, Midfielder    
Sophomore, Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy         
Quidzinski of the NIU women’s soccer team recorded the first hat trick by a Huskie in 21 years and recorded an assist as NIU played to a 4-4 draw against Louisiana-Lafayette (Aug. 30) in its only match of the week. Quidzinski's hat trick was the first by a Huskie since Anne Mucci scored three goals against Eastern Michigan on October 16, 1998 and is just the eighth hat trick in NIU school history. After recording an assist on NIU’s first goal of the match, Quidzinski's three goals were all part of a thrilling final 21 minutes of regulation time that included five total goals.
 
Olivia Darrow, Ohio, Midfielder       
Freshman, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio (Walsh Jesuit)      
Darrow made and impact this weekend for the Bobcats, helping Ohio improve to 4-0 for the first time in program history. Overall, Darrow recorded two goals on four shots with all four on goal. She also recorded a .500 shot percentage and a 1.000 shot on goal percentage in  96 minutes off the benchOn Aug. 30 against Cleveland State, Darrow registered two shots on goal in 50 minutes in the Bobcats 2-1 double overtime victory. Then on Sept. 1 against Marshall, Darrow was a force, scoring Ohio's first goal in the 27th minute. The goal was the first of her career. Darrow wasn't finished, in the 64th minute she scored off an assist from Jenni Santacaterina, helping secure Ohio's 4-1 win. Overall, she had two shots, two goals and two shots on goal in 46 minutes on the pitch. 

Sam Wexell, Ohio, Goalkeeper         
Sophomore, Irwin, Pa. (Norwin)      
Wexell helped the Bobcats man the nets this past weekend, helping Ohio improve to 4-0 for the first time in program history. In Wexell's lone game on the weekend, she played 109 minutes in the Bobcats' 2-1 double overtime victory on Aug. 31. Overall, she faced four shots on goal, allowed one goal and made three saves in the win.

Rogers had a career-high seven saves in her first career start in WMU's loss to Notre Dame. She bounced back in Sunday's win, making two saves when called upon to record her first career win and first career shutout as the Broncos blanked the Bearcats, 1-0.
