Moritz Named Women's Golfer of the Week

MAC Women’s Golfer of the Week
Hadley Moritz, Ball State
Sophomore, Wheaton, Ill., Wheaton Warrenville South

Hadley Moritz recorded her best career finish with a tie for fourth at Colorado State's Ptarmigan Ram Classic. The sophomore led the Cardinals to sixth place in a 13-team field that featured five top-100 squads and 12 ranked among the top 150. She fired a three-round total of 220 (+4) to finish just three strokes off the lead and played her final 52 holes of the event in even par. It was the second top-10 finish in three events this fall for Moritz. She tied for eighth at Illinois State's Redbird Invitational to open the season.
Other Nominees

Lauren Ingle, Northern Illinois University
Junior, Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester Hills-Stoney Creek

Ingle led NIU at the Mary Fossum Invitational, carding the team's best score in each of the three rounds of the tournament. In the second round, only five golfers in the field had a lower 18 than her two-over par 74 and there was only one golfer in the field with a better final round score than Ingle's one-over 73.  That score matched her lowest round of the year while the eighth place finish was her best of the season.

Julia Stevenson, Eastern Michigan
Senior, Milford, Mich.-Milford

Senior Julia Stevenson (Milford, Mich.-Milford) took home 16th and helped the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team to a fifth-place finish Monday, Sept. 23, at the Mary Fossum Invitational on the par 72, 6,315-yard Forest Akers West Golf course.
