MAC SIGNS CONTRACT AS PRIMARY PARTNER WITH THE NOVA HOME LOANS ARIZONA BOWL FROM 2020-25
MAC to face Mountain West Conference during the next bowl cycle beginning in 2020

DETROIT, Mich. – The Mid-American Conference announced today a primary bowl partnership with the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl for a six-year period beginning with the 2020-25 cycle. The annual bowl game from Arizona Stadium on the campus of the University of Arizona in Tucson will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.
 
The NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl partnership will increase the MAC’s primary bowl partnerships to a guaranteed six games during the next bowl cycle beginning in 2020. The MAC will face a member of the Mountain West Conference.
 
“I am pleased to announce the addition of the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl to our bowl lineup beginning with the 2020 football season,” said MAC Commissioner Dr. Jon A. Steinbrecher.  “This game was a priority as we looked to add a bowl game to our line-up.  The opportunity to play in a destination such as Tucson and to compete against the Mountain West Conference made this very attractive.  In just a few short years through the efforts of a talented bowl staff and engaged Board, the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl has quickly developed a reputation for providing a quality experience for the participating teams and fans.”
 
Created in 2015, the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl annually donates 100 percent of its net proceeds to charitable organizations.  The bowl game has donated over $3.5 million, including tickets to active military, veterans and teachers, along with first responders, from the greater Tucson area.

MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE
Founded in 1946, the Mid-American Conference is an NCAA Division I, 12-member conference that sponsors 23 championships and is one of 10 members of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). With total enrollment of nearly 300,000 students, the league represents institutions of higher learning in five states – Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York and Ohio.
