University of Akron senior Abigale Wilson (Carrollton, Ohio) drew her record-setting Zips' career to a close garnering second-team All-America accolades in the women's discus at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, June 8, with a mark of 179-0 (54.56m) to place 12th. It represented the second All-America honor for Wilson, who earned honorable mention All-America accolades after placing 20th in the discus at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore.

Northern Illinois
Senior Jehvania Whyte (Kingston, Jamaica/Vere Technical) of the Northern Illinois University women's track and field team wrapped up the 2019 season with a 20th place finish in the triple jump on Saturday evening at the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships. On a hot evening with temperatures that reached the mid-90s, Whyte posted a mark of 12.84m (42-01.50) on her third jump, but was unable to advance in the top nine to the second round of three jumps.
