The Bowling Green State University track and field team completed a critical weekend with a strong showing. The team competed both at Hillsdale's GINA Relays and Louisville's Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational. With just one weekend remaining before the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the Falcons improved seeding and positioning at a number of spots.

The University at Buffalo track & field program celebrated senior day in style as they hosted their only home meet of the 2019 outdoor season, the UB invitational, Saturday afternoon at UB Stadium. The Bulls collected 18 individual victories on the day, including senior Raven Jordan, who leapt her way to victory in the high jump event with a distance of 1.60m.

A program record in the women's hammer throw and three first-place finishes highlighted the performances of the Central Michigan track & field team this weekend at the 34th Jesse Owens Classic at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Stadium. Sophomore Quiara Wheeler shattered the CMU program record in winning the hammer throw, while the Chippewas' Shane Moffoand Gabriella Beauvais also recorded first-place finishes, Moffo in the men's 110-meter hurdles and Beauvais in the women's 400-meter dash.

Eastern Michigan Men // Jesse Owens Classic
The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team recorded four silver medal performances on the last day at the Jesse Owens Classic hosted by the Ohio State University Saturday, April 27. EMU saw success in a multitude of events, taking home podium finishes in the 4x100-meter relay, triple jump, 100m, and 200m. The Green and White kicked off Saturday with a second-place mark in the 4x100 relay, as sophomore Owen Richardson (Basingstoke, England), junior Sean Beckom II (Saginaw, Mich.-Heritage) and Terrell Posada(Naples, Fla.-Naples High), and senior Tyler Underwood (Clinton, Mich.-Clinton) raced to a time of 40.64, besting relay squads from Miami University and Michigan State University.

Relay teams from Eastern Michigan University's women's track and field team secured first-place finishes, as the team concluded its time at the Jesse Owens Classic hosted by the Ohio State University Saturday, April 27. The Eagles' 4x100-meter relay team recorded the fifth-fastest effort in EMU history, while the 4x400-meter squad topped Mid-American Conference foes Western Michigan University, Ohio University, the University of Akron, and Miami University en route to its top finish.

Senior Jehvania Whyte(Kingston, Jamaica/Vere Technical) took second in the triple jump, junior Remy Amarteifio (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) reached the final in the 100 hurdles and sophomore Mackenzie Callahan(Minooka, Ill./Minooka) posted a MAC automatic qualifying time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as the Northern Illinois University women's track and field team competed at the 110th Drake Relays this weekend.

Jesse Owens Classic | Ohio Open
The Ohio track & field team had a busy Saturday (April 27), with some members of the team making the trip to Columbus for the Jesse Owens Track Classic while other competed at the Bobcats' own Ohio Open at Goldsberry Track at Pruitt Field. Redshirt junior Ashleigh Carr (Oakland, Neb.) turned in the standout performance of the day at the Jesse Owns Track Classic, clocking a personal-best 59.34 to win the 400-meter hurdles. Her time was good for the second-fastest in school history.

The University of Toledo women's track and field team finished competition at the Hillsdale GINA Relays on Saturday after tallying one MAC automatic qualifying mark, four top-10 finishes, and two personal-bests on Saturday, bringing their total to three MAC automatic qualifying marks, 22 top-10 finishes, and 13 personal-bests on the weekend.

Western Michigan // Jesse Owens Classic
Strong performances in the sprints and middle distance highlighted Western Michigan track and field's final day of competition at the Jesse Owens Classic at Ohio State University. Junior Erin Dowd once again stood out, finishing fifth overall in the 400-meter dash after running a personal-best time of 54.57 seconds. Her time is a Mid-American Conference Championship automatic qualifier and currently ranks sixth in the conference. Her time also ranks ninth on the all-time WMU performance list.
