AKRON, Ohio– The Ohio softball team's (28-16, 9-6 MAC) bats came alive on Saturday (April 13), sweeping Akron (8-25-2, 2-12 MAC) in a doubleheader. The Bobcats won the first game 9-1 in five innings, and then wrapped up the day with a 13-5, five inning victory. The Saturday sweep gave the Bobcats the three-game sweep of the Zips.

BOWLING GREEN, OH – The University at Buffalo softball team (9-24-1, 6-4-1 MAC) team split its doubleheader at Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon. The Bulls fell to the Falcons 10-2 in game one before taking game two, 5-4 to secure their second straight series win.
In game one, the Falcons jumped on UB early, scoring seven runs on six hits and two UB errors to take a 7-0 lead in the first inning.

KENT, Ohio – The Miami University softball team (23-14, 8-4 MAC) swept its doubleheader against MAC-leader Kent State (18-20, 8-4 MAC) on Saturday to win the series. Miami won game one by a 4-3 margin in a marathon 14-inning contest before dominating game two by a 16-3 margin.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan softball team hosted Strikeout Cancer Day during a doubleheader with Ball State University at Ebert Field Saturday afternoon, collecting donations for Bronson Children's Hospital while honoring loved ones who have battled cancer. The Broncos walked off game one with a 10-9 victory in extra innings prior to a 5-3 game two loss.
