MAC Announces 2019 Gymnastics Academic All-MAC Team
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2019 Gymnastics Academic All-MAC team Wednesday. A total of 55 student-athletes were honored with this award.
Northern Illinois led all schools in the 2019 Gymnastics Academic All-MAC team having 10 gymnasts honored for the award. Bowling Green's Julia Beyer, and Taylor Worthington along with Eastern Michigan's Courtney Bezold, Northern Illinois' Ally Ferber, and Central Michigan's Nora Fettinger were the only athletes to record a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
