JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- - The Ball State softball team closed its 11-game spring break trip on a high note, picking up two more shutout wins Saturday afternoon at Jacksonville's Pruitt Softball Complex.
With the 10-0 (5 inning) win over Georgetown and the 3-0 victory over Presbyterian, the Cardinals (18-9) upped its current winning streak to a season-high six games and increased its shutout total to nine on the season, which ties as the 10th-best single season total in program history.

ATHENS, GA -- The Bowling Green State University softball team dropped a pair of contests in Saturday action (March 9) at the UGA Classic. The Falcons fell, 8-0, to Western Illinois University before losing a 10-2 decision to the eighth-ranked University of Georgia at Jack Turner Stadium.

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Central Michigan softball team dropped a pair of games to Big Ten opponents on Saturday during its Spring Break trip.
The Chippewas lost to Penn State, 3-1, and then dropped a 2-0 decision to Wisconsin. CMU (8-14) is scheduled to play the final game of its trip on Sunday (10 a.m.) against Holy Cross.

SEATTLE – The Northern Illinois University softball team dropped a pair of games on the second day of the Husky Classic, hosted by Washington Saturday.
The Huskies (9-10) were edged, 4-3, by Seattle in the first game of the day before being no-hit by Washington, 2-0, in the nightcap.

LONG BEACH, Calif. –The Ohio softball team wrapped up the second day of the 2019 UCLA Long Beach State Invitational on Saturday (March 9) by sweeping the day's competition. Ohio come out and defeated San Diego State, 5-1 in the first game of the day, before coming back and downing Long Beach State, 5-1 for their second victory of the day.

Clearwater, Fla. - The Toledo softball team fell against Colgate, 1-0, and Saint Jospeh's, 8-5, today on day two of the USF Showcase in Clearwater, Fla. The Rockets had solid chances to win in both games but late-game rallies from the Raiders and Hawks stunned UT.
