Miami Takes Both Monday Races at MAC Championships

OXFORD, Ohio - After one day of action at the 2019 MAC Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, Miami sits in the lead with 80 points.
The evening started off with the host RedHawks earning the 200 Medley Relay title. The team of Jacob Peloquin, Noah Barr, Iago Moussalem, and Nick Ward set a new school record by touching the wall with a time of 1.25.99.
In the final event of the evening, the 800 Freestyle Relay also went to went to Miami. Diego Valentim, Gordon Wheeler, James Wray and Iago Moussalem clocked in with a time of 6:31.32, setting another school record in Oxford.
Action begins tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. for preliminary rounds in the 500 Freestyle, 200 IM, and 50 Free. Finals for those events will follow in the evening at 6:30 p.m as well as the 200-Freestyle Relay.
