Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio) placed 12th overall at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate. She fired rounds of 76 (+4), 75 (+3) and 82 (+10) for a 233 (+17) ledger. She opened the tournament with a 151 (+7) tally on 18 par scores and seven birdies in 36 holes. Nicholson’s performance helped propel the Zips into finishing 5th overall in team scoring out of 14 teams. Akron posted scores of 317-325-318 – 960 (+96).

Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India) climbed three spots on the final day of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate to finish in the Top 15 at 12th overall. Shah carded the Zips’ best round with a 76 (+4) mark that included 12 par scores and a birdie. She entered the round with a 13-over par 158 total after starting the 54-hole tournament with 76 (+4) and 81 (+9) scores en route to a 233 (+17) tournament total. For the tournament, Shah collected 35 par scores and two birdies. Shah’s performance helped propel the Zips into 5th place finish out of 14 teams. Akron posted scores of 317-325-318 – 960 (+96).

Eastern Michigan University senior Penelope Guilleux (Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval) posted her 12th career top-20 showing, as she notched a two-day score of 237 (79-79-79) at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, March 19. The finish marked the third-time during the 2018-19 campaign that Guilleux had notched a final ranking inside the top-20. Overall, the EMU women's golf team finished in eighth on the par 72, 6,105-yard Kingsmill Resort River Course with a 54-hole tally of 972 (320-330-322).
