MAC Gymnast of the Week
Denelle Pedrick, Central Michigan, Junior

This weekend vs an SEC opponent in number 12 ranked Kentucky, Denelle Pedrick earned a career-high 39.450 All-Around score. Her personal record breakdown consisted of: 9.850 on Vault (FOURTH), 9.850 on Bars (THIRD and TIES CAREER HIGH), 9.875 on Beam, and a 9.875 (FIFTH) on Floor. Pedrick’s career-high 39.450 this week gives her the highest score in the MAC as the next highest scores of 39.250, 39.225, and 39.050 come from the respective gymnasts throughout the MAC.

MAC Specialist of the Week
Skyler Memmel, Central Michigan, Senior

Showcasing her talent, athleticism, and leadership Skyler Memmel provided the Chippewas with fight against the number 12 ranked Wildcats from Kentucky. Anchoring the Chippewas, Memmel acquired a CAREER HIGH and TEAM HIGH score of 9.900 on Beam (SECOND). Memmel’s 9.900 personal record earns her the top Beam performer throughout the rest of the MAC as the next highest score is 9.875 from the respective MAC gymnast.

Arden Hudson, Ball State, Sophomore
Arden Hudson placed first in bars to help Ball State to a quad meet win at Kent State Hudson’s 9.825 bars score was her career best and tied for first among 24 competitors. She also competed in vault and beam to contribute to the quad meet win.

Beam: 9.675 / T-16th

Jovannah East, Bowling Green, Junior

Jovannah East won the vault, beam and all-around at Ohio State Saturday, helping BGSU to its highest team score of the year. East also tied for second on floor and tied a season-best score on bars. East’s score of 39.250 was easily better than Ohio State’s two all-arounders, who posted scores of 39.025 and 38.300. East finished with three scores of at least 9.850 on the day.

Emili Dobronics, Eastern Michigan, Junior
Junior Emili Dobronics finished first in the all-around competition at Western Michigan, March 10, with 39.225, and first on beam with 9.800. Dobronics placed second on bars with a new career-high 9.850, while tying for third on vault with 9.775, placing fourth on floor, scoring 9.800.

Abby Fletcher, Kent State, Sophomore
Sophomore Abby Fletcher recorded her 10th top-three finish of the season with a third place finish on floor with a score of 9.900. The score was her second highest on floor this season. Fletcher also finished in the top-10 on both vault and beam with a 9.775 on each event. She tied for sixth on vault and tied for ninth on beam.

Amanda Bartemio, Northern Illinois, Junior

Junior Amanda Bartemio put together her best meet of the season as NIU recorded its highest team score of the year – and fourth-highest in school history – at the State of Illinois Classic Saturday. Bartemio had NIU’s top score of the day on vault – and her best score of the season – with a 9.800 to tie for fourth in the meet with UIC, Illinois and Illinois State. Her 9.775 on bars tied her season best andhelped contribute to NIU’s season-high bars score. With a 9.875 on floor, she earned a top 10 finish with a tie for seventh and set a new career high as NIU had the highest team floor score of the meet with a 49.375.

Rachel Underwood, Western Michigan, Senior

Western Michigan senior Rachael Underwood finished her career at University Arena with a first place finish on vault and a runner-up finish on the floor exercise, as well as all-around.Underwood scored a 9.825 on vaultand a 9.825 on floor.Her all -around total was a 39.050. Underwood had all four of her event scores counted towards the team total, also scoring a 9.725 on the uneven bars, placing s eventh and a 9.675 on the balance beam, finishing ninth.The Broncos defeated Eastern Michigan,194.650-193.950.

Kaitlyn Menzione, Ball State, Senior
Kaitlyn Menzione was in the top 3 in a pair of events – leading Ball State to a quad meet victory at Kent State Menzione scored 9.900 on floor for the 4th time in 5 weeks (tied for 3rd) Menzione scored 9.825 on beam (tied for 2nd) Ball State won the team scoring over Rutgers, Kent State & North Carolina.

Taylor Worthington, Bowling Green, Junior
Taylor Worthington scored a 9.825 on beam and a 9.725 on vault to help the Falcons to their season-best team score Saturday at Ohio State. Worthington recorded a scored of at least 9.700 on vault for the tenth consecutive meet this year – every meet on the season. Her 9.825 on beam tied for third in the event results.

Ciara Gresham, Eastern Michigan, Senior
Senior Ciara Gresham finished seventh on vault against Wester Michigan, March 10, with a 9.725. Gresham also competed on floor, finishing with a 9.700.

Kennedy Plude, Kent State, Senior

Senior Kennedy Plude finished her Kent State home career on top, winning the individual beam title on senior day with a score of 9.875. Her score marked a season-high and helped her to her second first-place finish of the season. Plude anchors a beam lineup that ranks 29th in the country and ranks first on the team with a 9.820 NQS. Her NQS currently ranks 4th in the MAC.

Anna Martucci, Northern Illinois, Senior

NIU senior specialist Anna Martucci led another spectacular performance by the NIU floor squad, tying her season best score of 9.950 at the State of Illinois Classic to earn the title of State Champion. Martucci earned the highest score in the entire meet as the Huskies totaled a 49.375 on the event, tying the second highest floor score in school history. Martucci added a 9.775, her second highest score of the season on balance beam, and the third-best score on the Huskie team.

Amelia Mohler, Western Michigan, Junior 

Western Michigan junior Amelia Mohler competed in two events in this weekend’s 194.650-193.950 win over Eastern Michigan. Mohler won the uneven bars with a 9.900, helping WMU score a season-high 49.050 on the uneven bars in the second rotation. The 49.050 also stands as the sixth best bars team score in school history. Mohler also competed on the balance beam,with her 9.700 being counted towards the team total.

Bars: 9.700 / 7th
