Michael Lasiewicz, NIU, Pitcher
Sophomore, McHenry, Ill. (McHenry)
Lasiewicz struck out a season-high 10 batters on Saturday night in NIU's 17-2 win at Southern Illinois Saturday night. The sophomore allowed two runs on three hits, with four walks. He retired the first 12 batters he faced before a lead-off home run in the fifth inning. It was his fourth career outing with at least 10 punchouts, one shy of his career-high 11.

Mackay Williams, Miami, Outfield
Senior, Overland Park, Kan. (Olathe North)
Willliams had a fantastic weekend in leading Miami to a four-game sweep of Youngstown State. He had seven hits in the four games, four of which went for extra bases. Williams started things off by going 3-for-4 with two runs scored on Friday. In the doubleheader on Sunday, he went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and one run scored in the 9-1 win. He had a double and a home run in that game. In the nightcap, Williams went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Both of his hits were base clearing triples and he also drew a pair of walks. Williams had an on-base percentage of .625 for the week and an incredible slugging percentage of 1.154. His slugging percentage was 2.000 in the doubleheader on Sunday.

Drey Jameson Ball State, RHP

Jameson's start vs. Georgetown as the right-hander pitched 7.2 quality innings. He struck out 10 and walked 2 and left in the 8th with his team leading 6-3. In 4 starts this season against Stanford, Notre Dame, Alabama and Georgetown, Jameson has 39 strikeouts over 23.1 innings and a 3.47 ERA.
Aaron Simpson, Ball State, OF
Junior, Orange, Calif. (Servite HS) (Cypress College)
Simpson batted .400 in 5 games during Ball State's Florida trip. He led the team in hits (8), runs (5), RBIs (6), walks (4) & OBP (.480) during the 5 games. Simpson was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs in a win over Georgetown on Friday, March 8. In 2 games the very next day, he was 3-for-7 with 4 RBIs and 2 walks. He finished the weekend with 2 hits vs. Kansas. Ball State went 3-2 in Florida to finish a 6-3 spring break stretch.
Scott Granzotto, Eastern Michigan, LHP
So., Northville, Mich. / Gabriel Richard
Granzotto tossed 4.2 innings against Marshall, March 9, in the first leg of a doubleheader. He struck out four while scattering six hits and three runs (two earned). Overall, he threw 98 pitches while lowering his ERA to 2.75 in five appearances this season.
Jeff Timko, Eastern Michigan, OF

Timko pushed his hitting streak to seven consecutive games with hits in all four games this week at Marshall, March 9-10. Overall, he has now reached based in 10-straight contests, the longest by an Eagle this season. In four games, Timko posted a .455 batting average (5-for-11) with four runs scored and four RBIs. He also had a double and a homerun for a .818 slugging percentage with an on-base percentage of .625. In the field, Timko was also perfect with four putouts and an assist. After drawing a pair of walks in the series opener, Timko had a three-run homer to go along with two runs scored. Then in the series finale, he was 3-for-4 at the plate with another run driven in as well.
Nick Elsen, Kent State OF
Sophomore, Kenosha, Wis. (Indian Trail)
Elsen was an offensive juggernaut at the plate this weekend for the Flashes, hitting at a .462 clip with a 1.154 slugging percentage. In a three-game series at West Virginia, Elsen collected six hits, including a double, a triple and two home runs. The sophomore launched two shots over the left field wall in the series finale Sunday, including a two-run home run clobbered 390 feet to the road beyond Monongalia County Ballpark. Scoring five runs and tallying four RBIs, the Kenosha, Wis. native accounted for nine of Kent State’s 13 total runs for the weekend. He was also perfect in the outfield with six put outs, including an over-the-fence grab in foul territory in right field on Saturday.
Connor Wollersheim, Kent State, LHP
Senior Neenah, Wis.
Wollersheim continues to shine as Kent State’s Friday starter, taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning against West Virginia. In his fourth start of the season, the Neenah, Wis. native struck out six batters while allowing just three walks and one hit in 5.0 innings of work. On the season, Wollersheim has maintained a 1.19 ERA in 22.2 innings pitched and has struck out 26, fanning at least six batters in each appearance.
Tyler Bosma, Miami, Pitcher
Freshman, Holland, Mich. (West Ottawa)
Bosma was perfect in his one relief outing this week. He earned a three inning save in Miami's 6-3 victory over Youngstown State on Friday by retiring all nine batters he faced. Bosma struck out four of them.
Nick Drobushevich, NIU, OF/DH
Freshman, Moline, Ill. (Moline)
Drobushevich drove in four runs this weekend and hit .333 as NIU took one game out of three at Southern Illinois. The freshman was 3-for-6 with three RBI in the Huskies 17-2 win over the Salukis Saturday night. He also stole a base in Friday and Sunday's games.
Kenny Ogg, Ohio, RHP
Senior, Indianapolis, Indiana/Lawrence Central
Ogg (Indianapolis, Ind.) earned his first win of the season after not allowing an earned run over 6.0 innings as the starter. Ogg struck out three batters in the win and allowed just six batters to reach base after allowing one walk and five hits. Two runs crossed the plate while Ogg was on the mound, both unearned.
Layne Schnitz-Paxton, Toledo, RHP
Junior, Napoleon, Ohio (Napoleon)
Layne Schnitz-Paxton threw six innings of one-run ball against Bucknell on Sunday, striking out six. After allowing just the one run in the second inning, Schnitz-Paxton allowed just two baserunners over his final four innings of work. He ended the first, second, and third innings with clutch strikeouts, stranding five Bucknell runners on base in the process.
Brad Boss, Toledo, OF
Sr., Temperance, Mich. (Bedford)
Boss led the Rockets offensively last week, hitting .400 across five games against UNC Wilmington and Bucknell. His seven RBIs tied for the team lead and slugged a team-best .700. The highlight for Boss was a 3-for-3 performance against Bucknell in which he drove in six runs, including a three-run home run, and also walked twice. He also led the team with eight runs scored and played errorless defense in center field.
Jesse Forestell, Western Michigan, Catcher

During its annual spring trip to Florida the Broncos played in nine games with senior catcher Jesse Forestell recording a .379 batting average with a team-high 12 RBIs. Forestell also led the Broncos with a .724 slugging percentage and a .581 on-base percentage. The senior catcher had a stellar eye at the plate drawing a team-high 11 walks. Forestell registered a hit in seven of the nine games the Broncos played in along with two home runs, one triple and two doubles. Forestell had two multi-hit games while down in Florida going a perfect 3-for-3 vs. Georgetown and 3-for-4 in game one against North Florida. Along with his perfect day at the plate against the Hoyas, Forestell had three runs scored and three RBIs. In game one at North Florida, Forestell earned his second straight with three RBIs and three runs scored. During WMU’s four-game win streak down in Florida, Forestell was 10-for-14 with 8 runs scored and 8 RBIs.
