David Hemery Valentine Invitational

University of Akron track and field senior Mackenzie Andrews(Toowoomba, Australia) ran a school-record time of 4:35.63 in the women's mile at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Friday, Feb. 8.

Doug Raymond Invitational
University of Akron track and field finished the competition at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State on Saturday, Feb. 9, with four first-place finishes as part of 16 overall top-five performances on the day. Freshman Amir Willis (Cincinnati, Ohio) captured the men's 400 meters in a career-best indoor time of 48.60, while crossing the line in a career-best indoor time of 21.50 to finish third in the 200 meters.

University of Akron track and field junior Lucy Bryan (Bristol, England) eclipsed 14-2.50 (4.33m) en route to earning the top-collegiate finish in the women's pole vault invitational on the final day of the Tyson Invitational hosted by Arkansas on Saturday, Feb. 9, to headline the Zips' performances.

Ball State // Doug Raymond National Qualifier
The Ball State indoor track & field team tallied 10 top 10 finishes and logged eight career-bests in a successful Saturday run at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier hosted by Kent State. "It was another great weekend for our team," head coach Brian Etelman said. "We've hit a nice, consistent level of performance that has set us up perfectly to close out the next couple weeks with a strong showing at the MAC Championships."

Bowling Green // Doug Raymond National Qualifier
Bowling Green redshirt senior Rachel Walny posted the second-fastest 3000 time in school history, while redshirt senior Aliyah Gustafson swept the throws events at the Doug Raymond Invitational Saturday. Walny competed at the Spire Institute Division I Classic.

Buffalo // Doug Raymond Invite
The University at Buffalo indoor track and field team continued their season as they competed at the Doug Raymond Invite on Saturday hosted by Kent State University. Buffalo had eight athlete post top-five in their respective events, highlighted by Brandon Burke, who continued his impressive campaign as the sophomore collected a first place finish in the high jump event with a leap of 2.04m.

GVSU Big Meet // Kent State Qualifier

Two meets, two more program records. Megan O'Neil broke the Central Michigan indoor record in the women's 5,000-meter run on Friday at the Grand Valley State Big Meet, and Erin Howard broke the CMU women's indoor shot put record on Saturday at the Doug Raymond Invitational at Kent State University. It was a good weekend for the Chippewas, who sent the distance runners to Grand Valley on Friday and the remainder of the squad to Kent State on Saturday.

Eastern Michigan Men // Music City Challenge
Sophomore Owen Richardson (Basingstoke, England) and senior Tyler Underwood (Clinton, Mich.-Clinton) represented the Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team at the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University, Saturday, Feb. 9. The two sprinters competed in the 400m, both earning top-10 finishes, with Underwood earning a second-place finish and Richardson placing ninth.

Eastern Michigan Women // Doug Raymond National Qualifier
The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team made its first trip to Kent State University since 2013-14, participating in the Kent State Doug Raymond National Qualifier on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Eagles' trip to the home of the Golden Flashes saw sophomore Kadian Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica- Immaculate Conception) break her own school record for the third time this season, clearing 18.69m in the weight throw, good for fourth place.

Samory Fraga broke his own Kent State record in the long jump and the Kent State track and field program had several individuals post career-best marks at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier on Saturday afternoon inside the Kent State Field House.

Miami // GVSU Big Meet
Headlined by plenty of personal records and some top national marks, the Miami University track and field team finished Saturday at Grand Valley State's Big Meet. The day started with recent Miami record-holder Olivia Bechtel putting on yet another outstanding performance, albeit in a bit of a less-familiar event.

Northern Illinois // GVSU Big Meet
Freshman Taylor Ramsey (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) and sophomore Mackenzie Callahan (Minooka, Ill./Minooka) each hit Mid-American Conference Championship automatic qualifying standards as the Huskies competed in the GVSU Big Meet on Friday. Ramsey met the qualifying mark in the high jump, winning the competition at the Big Meet, while Callahan reached the time in the mile.

Ohio // Kent State Qualifier
Ohio track and field returns from a day trip at the Kent State Qualifier (Feb.9). Senior Gaza Odunaiya (Athens, Ohio) placed second overall in the weight throw reaching 19.24m. In the 1-mile run, senior Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio) finished in second with a time of 4:58.15.

David Hemrey Valentine Invitational

Senior Petronela Simiuc moved to No. 3 All-Time at Toledo in the mile run with a time of 4:42.92 at the David Hemrey Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University. Simiuc landed 15th with junior Athena Welsh following shortly to take 16th, clocking a time of 4:45.14. Senior Janelle Noe took 32nd with a time of 4:51.43.

Kent State Qualifier
The University of Toledo women's track & field team had seven athletes finish in the top-10 of their respective events at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier in Kent, Ohio on Saturday. "It was a great preview for the MAC Championships in two weeks," said assistant coach Adrian Ghioroaie. "It was good to see the Rockets get familiar with the facility."

Iowa State Classic // GVSU Big Meet

The Western Michigan track & field team wrapped up competition at the Iowa State Classic and the Grand Valley State Big Meet on Saturday. Over at ISU, junior sprinter Madison Meredith shined once again. Meredith ran a season-best times in both the preliminaries and the finals of the 60-meter dash. She started off running 7.67 second and improved it to 7.63 to take second overall. Sophomore Diamond Mitchell ran a time of 7.82 to take fifth overall.
