Team-By-Team Notes
AKRON

The Akron Zips have currently won three straight games after their victory over Ohio on Saturday. UA has limited opponents to scoring 60 points or less in 10 games, including five games of 50 points or under. The Zips allow only 62.3 points per game which ranks No. 14 in the NCAA for scoring defense and first in the MAC. At home, Akron only allows 57.1 points per game. Akron travels to Toledo to face the West leading Rockets on Tuesday evening.

BALL STATE
Ball State heads back out on the road and returns to MAC West Division competition with Tuesday's visit to Northern Illinois. The Cardinals are looking to snap a four-game losing streak, Junior guard K.J. Walton scored a career-high 26 points and hit a 3-pointer to force overtime in Saturday's loss to the Golden Flashes. Walton also scored 18 earlier in the week at Buffalo. He was 16-for-26 from the floor over the two games.

BOWLING GREEN
Bowling Green is 7-1 in MAC play, joining the 1961-62, 1979-80, and 1982-83 Falcon squads as the only teams in program history to win seven of their first eight league contests. The win over No. 18 Buffalo for Bowling Green was its highest-ranked win since defeating No. 5 Michigan State in 1990. BGSU set a new arena record on Friday drawing  the most fans to the Stroh Center since 2012 (4,421). The Falcons travel to Western Michigan on Tuesday to conclude this seasons home-and-home series against the Broncos. Bowling Green defeated the Broncos earlier in the season by a score of 79-48 at the Stroh Center on Jan. 19.

BUFFALO
The Bulls split their two games this past weekend, including picking up their 21st straight win at Alumni Arena last Tuesday against Ball State, which is the second longest streak in the nation. Senior Dontay Caruthers had back to back 20 points games wit 21 against the Cardinals and a carer high 28 against Bowling Green.  The Bulls did an excellent job on the glass Friday night as they held Bowling Green, the nation's leading rebounding team to just 30 rebounds, while UB finished +12 on the glass against the Falcons.  Buffalo is currently sitting at 19 wins this year and is looking to hit the 20-win mark for just the eighth time in school history and the fourth time in the last five years.

CENTRAL MICHIGAN

Central Michigan will have Tuesday night off and will return to action Saturday night as they travel to Buffalo to face the Bulls.

EASTERN MICHIGAN

The Eagles take on NIU at home on Saturday afternoon as a part of an alumni reunion/trivia night contest.

KENT STATE
