AKRON, Ohio – After the first day of the 2019 MAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, the Akron Zips lead the field after a strong performance in the two relay events.
The 200 medley relay was the first event of the 2019 MAC championships. The hometown Akron Zips posted a new pool, meet, and MAC record clocking in with a time of 1:36.28.
In the 800-Freestyle Relay, the team of Avery Movold, Paulina Nogaj, Sarah Watson, and Ellie Nebraska broke the former MAC record by a total of three seconds at 7:06.81.
At the end of Day One of the MAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship, here’s where each team stands:
