Akron 91, Ball State 61 // Box Score
Suffocating defense, strong interior play and the red-hot shooting of their starting backcourt powered the Akron women's basketball team to a 91-61 Mid-American Conference home win over Ball State at James A. Rhodes Arena on Wednesday night. It was a night to accomplish accolades for two members of the Zips squad including redshirt senior guard Megan Sefcik(Austintown, Ohio) and head coach Melissa Jackson. Sefcik connected on her second three-pointer of the night at the 3:26 mark of the second quarter, but that triple meant so much more. The Zips shooting guard knocked down the 200thmade three-point field goal of her career, which has only been accomplished by three Zips in program history.

Bowling Green 78, Buffalo 72 // Box Score
Junior Andrea Cecil scored 26 points to pace five double-digit scorers on Wednesday night (Feb. 13), as the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team topped the University at Buffalo, 78-72, in Mid-American Conference action at the Stroh Center. Senior Sydney Lambert scored 13 points for the Falcons, who are now 8-14 overall and 1-10 in the MAC. Sophomore Madisen Parker's 12 points included a perfect 9-for-9 performance at the free-throw line, while freshman Kadie Hempfling had 11 points. Hempfling's well-rounded game included a team-leading nine rebounds, five assists and a game-high five steals.

Central Michigan 87, Western Michigan 53 // Box Score
A no-doubter. Reyna Frost scored a career-high 33 points and grabbed 20 rebounds on Wednesday as the Central Michigan women's basketball team rolled to an 87-53 Mid-American Conference victory over Western Michigan at the Broncos' University Arena. CMU, which is ranked eighth in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll, improved to 17-6, 8-3 MAC. The Chippewas lead the MAC West by one game over Toledo, which knocked off Ohio, 76-50, on Wednesday.

Kent State 67, Eastern Michigan 54 // Box Score
Kent State put 40 points on the board and led by 16 at halftime in a 67-54 road victory against Eastern Michigan on Wednesday evening inside of the Convocation Center. The Golden Flashes (13-9, 6-5 MAC) have beaten the Eagles in all six matchups under third-year head coach Todd Starkey and snapped a three-game road losing streak.

Miami 70, Northern Illinois 45 // Box Score
The Miami University women's basketball team (18-4, 9-2 MAC) beat Northern Illinois (14-9, 6-5 MAC) by a 70-45 margin on Wednesday in Millett Hall. The RedHawks' 9-2 conference record places them at the top of the MAC standings as they've won eight-straight. Kendall McCoy earned her first double-double of the season, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Savannah Kluesner led the Miami offense with 17 points. Kristen Levering also scored in double figures with 12 points. Lauren Dickerson dished out eight assists, twice the total of the entire Northern Illinois roster. The Miami defense allowed no NIU player to reach double figures. The RedHawks pulled down 50 rebounds for the fourth time this season.

Toledo 76, Ohio 50 // Box Score
Four Rockets scored in double figures to lift the Midnight Blue & Gold to a 76-50 victory over Mid-American Conference East Division leader Ohio on Wednesday before 3,364 fans in Savage Arena. With the resounding triumph, Toledo improves to 15-7 overall, 7-4 in the league. Sophomore Nakiah Black paced Toledo offensively with a season-tying best six triples and 20 points. The first-year Rocket shot a blistering 6-of-10 from beyond the arc, equaling the ninth-highest total in school history.
