Dillard & Frost Named WBB Athletes of the Week
East Division
Cierra Dillard, Buffalo, Guard
Senior – Rochester, New York/Gates Chili
Buffalo senior guard Cierra Dillard averaged a double-double on the week with 24 points and 10 assists per game to help lead the Bulls to wins over Toledo and Kent State. Against Toledo, Dillard scored 17 points while adding four rebounds, nine assists and six steals. The senior then had a huge game against Kent State, narrowly missing out on a triple double with 31 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds. The 11 assists tied a career-high. Dillard ranks third in the nation in scoring (25.0 ppg), first in free throws made (146) and fifth in free throws attempted (182) and final points (524).
West Division
Reyna Frost, Central Michigan, Forward
Senior – Reese, Michigan/Reese
Senior forward Reyna Frost posted two more double-double performances in Central Michigan's split with Ball State and Ohio this past week. In Wednesday's 81-63 win over the Cardinals, the Reese, Mich., native scored 28 points on 13-of-17 from the field to go along with 20 rebounds. Frost became just the second player in the country to post consecutive 20-plus point/rebound game this season. In Saturday's 75-78 loss to Ohio, Frost finished with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting to bring her double-double total to 19 for the season, which ranks 3rd in the NCAA.

Oshlynn Brown, Ball State, Forward
Sophomore – Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe
Brown started the week off strong in MAC action, collecting her 15th career double-double against MAC west Division leader Central Michigan after an 18-point, 12 rebound performance. She then scored 11 points and pulled down seven rebounds at home against Northern Illinois. Brown made some key plays at CMU helping the Cardinals take a 34-33 lead over the Chippewas Wednesday night. For the week, Brown averaged a near double-double with 14.5 points per game and 9.5 rebounds.
Megan Carter, Kent State, Guard
R-Junior – Farmington Hills, Michigan/North Farmington
Megan Carter averaged 16.5 points per game to lead Kent State to a split in conference action this past week. Carter was the Golden Flashes’ top scorer in both games, which included 17 points in a win against Western Michigan on Wednesday.
Lauren Dickerson, Miami, Guard
Junior – Indianapolis, Indiana/Lawrence North
Junior guard Lauren Dickerson led the RedHawks to two more conference victories last week as Miami improved to 8-2 in MAC games this season. In Saturday's win at Bowling Green, Dickerson totaled a season-high 31 points, scoring 17 of those points in the fourth quarter. With Miami trailing 67-70 and just under five minutes to play, Dickerson took the game into her hands, scoring the next 12 points on the floor for either team to give Miami a 79-70 lead with 1:13 remaining. Dickerson also tied her season-high with six three-pointers against Bowling Green, shooting almost 43 percent from long range. Dickerson also scored in double figures against Eastern Michigan on Wednesday.
Shaunay Edmonds, Akron, Point Guard
Junior – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania/Seton La Salle
Junior point guard, Shaunay Edmonds, turned in an all-around week scoring and facilitating the floor to help lead Akron to a 1-1 record against Ohio and Western Michigan. Edmonds tallied 17.5 points per game, 5.5 assists, and 3.5 rebounds while shooting at an efficient 56.1-percent from the floor and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Against Ohio, the Zips point guard scored 11 points, dropped eight of the Zips 14 assists, and grabbed four rebounds. Edmonds stepped up big for the Zips versus the Broncos with her best scoring performance of the season. The junior notched a game- and season-high 24 points on the strength of 9-for-17 shooting, 2-for 4 from long range, and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. She also added three assists, three rebounds, and one steal. Edmonds has now scored in double figures in three straight games, four of her last five, and 11 times overall on the year.
CeCe Hooks, Ohio, Guard
Sophomore – Dayton, Ohio/Thurgood Marshall
Sophomore guard Cece Hooks averaged 21.5 points and seven rebounds per game in Ohio's two wins over Akron (92-70) and Central Michigan (78-75) this week. Against Central Michigan, Hooks posted a game-high 28 points and was three of her career high. Hooks was 12-of-23 from the field and 4-of-7 from the free throw line in the win. The Dayton, Ohio native added eight rebounds - including three offensive boards - and two assists in 32 minutes of play. In Ohio's win over Akron, Hooks was 7-of-18 for 15 points in just 20 minutes of play all while pulling down six rebounds.
Autumn Hudson, Eastern Michigan, Center
Sophomore – Richwood, Ohio/North Union
Sophomore Autumn Hudson averaged 8.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals to lead the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team, Feb. 3-9. Hudson kicked off the week with a six-point, 11-rebound performance at Miami, Feb. 3, that also included a pair of blocks. She wrapped up the week on a high note, recording the first double-double of her career at Toledo, Feb. 9. Hudson tied a career-high with 12 boards to go along with 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting. The Richwood, Ohio native has now tallied 10-or-more rebounds in three straight games, the first Eagle to do so since Emoni Jackson accomplished the feat last season.
Kaayla McIntyre, Toledo, Center
Senior – Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy
Senior Kaayla McIntyre averaged a team-high 18.0 points, a squad-best 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, a team-high 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals in two games this past week. McIntyre shot a squad-best 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the field and 66.7 percent (8-of-12) from the free throw line in 31.0 minutes per contest. The 2018-19 team captain was the only Rocket to score double-digit points in both games. McIntyre began the week with a team-high 22 points, eight caroms and three helpers in 32 minutes at Buffalo on Wednesday. Three days later against Eastern Michigan at home, the 2017-18 third-team All-MAC selection contributed 14 points, a game-high 13 boards, a contest-best three rejections and two thefts. Dating back to last season, McIntyre has scored double-digit points in 34-consecutive contests.
Kamrin Reed, Western Michigan, Guard
Junior – Holt, Michigan/Holt
Junior guard Kamrin Reed shined during Western Michigan's road losses at Kent State and Akron, averaging 14 points per game while shooting 52.6 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from beyond the arc. At Kent State on Wednesday, Reed played in all 40 minutes and scored a career-high 20 points, tying career-highs with seven made field goals and four from long-range. She made three three-point field goals in a row to nearly spark a 19-point comeback in the 55-51 loss. Reed added eight points at Akron on Saturday while tallying at least a pair of three-point field goals in a third-straight game.
Mikayla Voigt, NIU, Guard
Senior – Slinger, Wisconsin/Kettle Moraine Lutheran
Voigt averaged 26.5 points per game this week as NIU earned wins over Bowling Green and Ball State to extend the Huskies' current winning streak to three games. On Wednesday night, Voigt scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half as NIU defeated Bowling Green 88-47. Voigt followed up that effort with 37 points in a 93-83 win at Ball State on Saturday. The senior was 10-for-18 from the field, 8-for-12 from the three-point arc, and 11-for-12 at the foul line. Voigt scored 25 points in the second half, and 15 in the fourth quarter alone. It was her third 30-plus point effort of the year. She shot 54.5 percent from the three-point arc this week.
