Sophomore Nic Wamsley led the RedHawks at the Miami Invitational this past weekend. His best individual finish came in the 100 fly (48.40, ranks second in the MAC) as he was just out-touched at the finish. Wamsley finished third in both the 50 free (20.43) and the 100 free (44.72) as he ranks third in the conference in both events as well. To round out his individual events, he finished seventh in the 200 free (1:42.21) in which he ranks 10th in the MAC. At the Miami Invitational, Wamsley also swam on Miami's 'A' relay of all four relays that competed. The RedHawks finished second in the 200 free relay (1:21.80), second in the 200 medley relay (1:31.59), second in the 400 free relay (3:01.89) and third in the 400 medley relay (3:20.13). Wamsley swam the fastest split in the field in the 200 medley relay (19.59 for 50 free), 200 free relay (19.78) and 400 medley relay (43.87 for 100 free) and had one of the three-fastest splits in the 400 free relay (44.52). Wamsley is on the quickest 200 free relay in the MAC while the other three rank second. All four of these relays rank in the top 75 nationally.
