Senior Hannah Fuchs led Miami to a dual meet win against Buffalo last weekend with three individual event wins. Fuchs swept the breaststroke events, winning both the 100 breast (1:04.23) and 200 breast (2:17.84). She added an event win in the 200 IM (2:04.76) and also swam the 200 medley relay. In the 200 breast, Fuchs beat the field by 4.5 seconds and outswam the competition by more than two seconds in the 200 IM. She ranks second in the MAC in both of these events and is fourth in the 100 breast. Nationally, Fuchs is 37th in the 200 IM and 45th in the 200 breast.

Nicole Roitenberg would go on to have a career day against Miami (OH) as she would finish in first place in three of her four events. She won the 100-yard backstroke in 56.35 and the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:02.28. Both of these times are now in UB’s top-10 for their respective events as she passes Maddy Jacumski (56.44, 2019) for 10th in the 100-yard backstroke and Claudia Casale (2:02.64, 2017) for 10th in the 200-yard backstroke. She would also help her teammates to a first place victory in the 200-yard medley relay that they finished in 1:44.72. She now has five individual and three team victories on the season.
