CHICAGO, Ill. -- DePaul outscored Central Michigan, 56-25, in the second half to overcome an 18-point halftime deficit and hand CMU an 88-75 nonconference men's basketball loss on Tuesday at the Blue Demons' Wintrust Arena. CMU is 5-2, while DePaul improved to 7-0 for the first time since 1986-87.

Dallas Morgan hit six of his 11 3-point attempts to lead the Chippewas with 20 points, while Rob Montgomery added 17 points and nine rebounds.

CMU shot 48.6 percent from the floor including 41.7 percent from 3-point range in the first half. Those numbers dipped to 25.8 percent and 16.7 percent in the second half.
 
While Morgan hit six 3-pointers, one shy of his career high, the rest of the Chippewas finished one for 13 from long range.

CMU will be return to McGuirk Arena on Saturday, Nov. 30 (4:30 p.m.) for a nonconference game against Youngstown State (3-3).

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Myles Carter recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season and Seattle U beat Western Michigan 59-55 on Tuesday.
 
Terrell Brown had 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Seattle U (3-5). Delante Jones added 12 points and six rebounds.
 
Seattle U senior Morgan Means reached 1,000 career points on a 3-pointer in the second half to become the third player in the program's modern-day DI era to do so.
 
Brandon Johnson had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Broncos (4-4). Michael Flowers added 16 points and Rafael Cruz Jr. had six rebounds.
 
South Alabama 82, Miami 71

ESTERO, Fla. -- Josh Ajayi scored 21 points as South Alabama broke away from Miami (Ohio) 82-71 on Tuesday, earning a spot in the title game of the Gulf Coast Showcase. Chad Lott added a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Jaguars.
 
Trhae Mitchell had 14 points and three blocks for South Alabama (5-2), Andre Fox also scored 14 points and Tyreke Locure 10 for the Jaguars, who shot 70 % (16-23) in the second half.
 
Dalonte Brown led the RedHawks (4-2) with 15 points. Miami's four-game win streak ended with the loss. Nike Sibande added 13 points while Isaiah Coleman-Lands and Milos Jovic each scored 10.
 
Coleman-Lands drained a 3-pointer from the right wing that capped a 10-0 Miami run and tied the game at 59-59. Andre Fox and Locure responded for South Alabama with a drive and a 3-pointer, respectively, and the lead grew back into double digits four minutes later.
 
Western Illinois 69, Ball State 62

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Kobe Webster drove for a layup with 27 seconds remaining to seal Western Illinois' 69-62 win over Ball State Tuesday night.
 
Webster finished with 18 points, Zion Young had 15 points and 10 rebounds. James Claar added 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Leathernecks (2-4). C.J. Duff added 10 points.
 
Ishmael El-Amin scored a career-high 21 points for the Cardinals (4-3). Tahjai Teague added 13 points and 14 rebounds. Kyle Mallers had 12 points.
 
Mallers drained a corner 3 to tie the game at 59-59, but Duff answered with a 3-pointer on the other end and the Leathernecks led the rest of the way.
 
Western Illinois plays Kansas City on the road on Saturday. Ball St. faces Loyola of Chicago at home next Tuesday.
