Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Nicky Potts, Ball State, Midfielder
Junior, Nuneaton, England
Potts continues to be a force in conference play as she scored another game winner in overtime against Ohio Sunday, as well as a goal against Kent State Thursday. Potts is up to eight goals and 18 points for the season, both team highs at Ball State. Her five game winners are tied for the most in the MAC. Potts recorded four shots for the week and put all of them on goal while scoring twice.

Kathleen Duwve, Bowling Green, Goalkeeper
Senior, Sylvania, Ohio (Northview)
Bowling Green’s senior goalkeeper went 2-0-0 with a goals-against average of 0.00 as the Falcons clinched a share of the MAC regular-season title with a pair of road wins over the weekend. Duwve played the first 70 minutes of the Falcons’ 7-0 win over Northern Illinois, giving way to fellow senior Monica Florez for the final 20 minutes with the match well in hand. On Sunday, Duwve made three saves in a 1-0 shutout win over Western Michigan. She has allowed just one goal over the last 418:52, spanning the last four-plus matches. On the season, Duwve has a goals-against average of just 1.08, and that GAA is just 0.69 in MAC matches. She has moved into third place in school history in career wins, and currently ranks first in BGSU history in both career GAA and career saves pct. The Falcons are 11-5-2 overall, and BGSU leads the MAC with a 9-1-0 league record.

Carly Pcholinsky, Akron, Forward
Sophomore, South Park, Pa. (South Park HS)
Pcholinsky had a big impact on the offensive side of the ball for the Zips as Akron went 2-0-0 on the weekend defeating Eastern Michigan (3-2) and Central Michigan (1-0) and secured a spot in the 2019 MAC Tournament. Against the Eagles, Pcholinsky recorded her second consecutive multi-goal performance scoring the two goals in a matter of six minutes including what proved to be the game-winner. Pcholinsky registered five shots with four coming on frame.
Libby Harper, Akron, Goalkeeper
Freshman, Hatfield, England ( Townsend Church Of England School)
Harper continues to have a phenomenal freshman campaign in-between the posts for Akron as the keeper picked up another pair of victories (5-7-1) and her fourth clean sheet of the season. Against EMU, Harper made four saves before shutting out Central Michigan, 1-0, while making five saves.
Tristin Stuteville, Ball State, Goalkeeper
Grad, Kansas City, Mo. (Platte County)
Stuteville became the winningest goalkeeper in Ball State soccer history this weekend with wins against both Kent State and Ohio. Stuteville now owns 36 wins at BSU. The graduate student compiled 19 saves for the weekend including 14 against Kent State on Thursday while going 2-0. She played all 181 minutes in goal for the Cardinals while keeping them in the hunt for the regular season conference championship.
Kennedy White, Bowling Green, Forward
Freshman, Canton, Mich. (Plymouth)
White scored a goal in each match as the Falcons went 2-0-0 last weekend, clinching a share of the MAC regular-season title in the process. White had a second-half goal in BGSU’s 7-0 win at Northern Illinois on Friday night, and she hit the post with another shot. Then, on Sunday, she scored the lone goal of the match as BGSU picked up a 1-0 road win over Western Michigan. White now has eight goals and 18 points overall, and she has five goals and 12 points in MAC play. In both cases, she leads the Falcons in goals and is tied for the team lead in points. White is also tied for the BG lead with two game-winning goals, and she is the only Falcon with a pair of GWG in MAC matches this season. The Falcons are now 11-5-2 overall, and BGSU leads the MAC with a 9-1-0 league record.
Lindsey Shira, Eastern Michigan, Defender
Junior, New Baltimore, Mich. (Anchor Bay)
Shira finished the week with a team-high five points from two goals and one assist. The New Baltimore, Mich. native played all but five minutes of both matches, and now leads the Eagles in points on the season with 15. Thursday, Oct. 24 against Akron, Shira scored the second goal of the game to bring the Eagles within one, as well as reach the 20 career points milestone. Adding one goal and one assist Sunday, Oct. 27 against Buffalo, Shira now sits at 23 career points. Her 78th minute goal against the Bulls marked her third game-winning goal of the season. This is the second offensively productive weekend the defender has had in 2019.
Kennedy Gray, Miami, Defender
Freshman, Grande Prairie, Alberta (Paul Kane)
Gray provided a spark from the back line over the weekend, picking up her first collegiate goal to give the RedHawks second half breathing room in an eventual 2-0 Senior Day win over Kent State on Sunday.
Izzie Vaccari, Miami, Goalkeeper
Sophomore, Dublin, Ohio (Coffman)
After a tough tilt for the team against Ohio, Izzie Vaccari helped the RedHawks bounce back in a big way with a masterful 11-save performance against Kent State in a 2-0 victory on Sunday. That win marked Vaccari's second shutout of the season and her 17 saves for the week improve her conference-leading total to 114 while her .832 save percentage is the MAC's third-best figure.
Abby Townsend, Ohio, Forward
Sophomore, Powell, Ohio
Townsend led the Bobcats offensively over this past weekend. Overall, Townsend scored two goals and had three assists for seven points, helping Ohio to a 1-1 weekend. Overall, she recorded nine shots with five of them on goal, while playing in 136 minutes on the pitch. On Oct. 24 at Miami, Townsend was on fire, scoring two goals on five shots with three shots on goal. She also recored two assists for six points in 55 minutes on the pitch in the Bobcats 5-2 victory. Townsend's six points in a game tied her for second most in program history in points in a game and was the first since 2003 to do so. The win also gave the Bobcats their first 10-win season since 2003 as well. On Sunday at Ball State, Townsend was in the mix again, registering an assist on Sarina Dirrig's goal in the fourth minute, that at the time, gave Ohio an early 1-0 lead. Overall, Townsend played in 81 minutes, recording four shots with two on goal in the 201 overtime loss.
\Sydney Malham, Ohio, Goalkeeper
Junior, Nashville, Tenn.
Malham led Ohio defensively over the weekend. Overall, Malham played in 166 minutes, allowing two goals on seven shots and made five saves while helping Ohio go 1-1 on the weekend. On 10/24 at Miami, Malham was solid during the 73 minutes that she played in net. Malham made one save on the only attempt she faced before she was pulled in the 73rd minute. Overall, the Bobcats defeated Miami, 5-2. The effort helped the Bobcats clinch their first 10-win season since 2003. On Sunday, Oct. 27, Malham held strong. Overall, Malham played 91 minutes, allowing two goals on six attempts while making four saves in the 2-1 overtime loss to Ball Sate.
