Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) of the Ohio men's golf team turned in the best finish of his collegiate career to date at the Phoenix Intercollegiate, tying for fifth place with a 206 (-7). After carding rounds of 65 (-6) and 71 (E) on Monday (Oct. 14), Dyson shot a final-round 70 (-1) on Tuesday (Oct. 15) at Alamance Country Club to secure the top-five finish. His first-round 65 mark the best of his collegiate career to date.As a team, the Bobcats finished in ninth place with a combined total team score of 854 (+2). Ohio compiled round scores of 281 (-3), 285 (+1) and 288 (+4).

Sunden (Sweden) finished 12th overall on the players’ leaderboard with a 77-74-70 – 221 (+8) at the Dayton Flyer Invitational. For the third straight tournament, Sunden led the Akron men’s golf team in scoring as the Zips placed ninth overall with a 312-297-304 – 913 (+61) team effort. Sunden opened the event with rounds of 77 (+6) and 74 (+3) before registering the 1-under ledger at the Par-71, 7,048-yard NCR Country Club (South Course). During the final round, he carded his first eagle of the season on the par-5, 558-yard sixth hole to go along with a pair of birdies and 12 par scores. Sunden shot 1-under par on the front-9 with five pars, a birdie, and an eagle while collecting an even-par ledger to finish the round. For the tournament, Sunden posted 38 pars, three birdies and an eagle.
