Ball State 48, Kent State 44 // Box Score
For the second-straight game, Ball State (7-11, 2-4 MAC) took its opponent down to the wire but this time came out on top. As sophomore forward Oshlynn Brown scored 10 points in matter of 2:42 helping the Cardinals to a 48-44 win over Kent State (10-7, 3-3 MAC) Wednesday night in Worthen Arena. "I credit both teams for putting the gloves on and fighting through it," Ball State head coach Brady Sallee said.

Buffalo 91, Akron 72 // Box Score
Five players scored in double figures as the University at Buffalo women's basketball team defeated Akron 91-72 on Wednesday night at Alumni Arena. With their fifth straight win the Bulls improve to 13-4 on the year, 5-1 in conference play. Cierra Dillard led all scorers with 25 points, including a perfect 10-of-10 from the charity stripe, to go along with 7 assists, one rebound and one steal. Also in double figures for Buffalo were Theresa Onwuka who had 16 points, 4 rebounds, three assists and two blocks, Brittany Morrisonnarrowly missed out on a double-double with a career-high 15 points and 9 rebounds, Marissa Hamilton also posted a new career-high with 13 points, including 3-of-3 from beyond the arc and Summer Hemphill went for her second straight double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, while also adding four assists and a steal on the night.

Eastern Michigan 81, Bowling Green 74 // Box Score
Freshman Jenna Annecchiarico's(Baldwin, N.Y.-Baldwin) career-best effort led the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team to an 81-74 win over Mid-American Conference East Division foe Bowling Green State University inside the Convocation Center, Wednesday night, Jan. 23. The Eagles (10-7, 3-3 MAC) overcame a 10-point deficit early to pick up their third straight win over the Falcons (7-10, 0-6 MAC). Annecchiarico produced a career night racking up 26 points, including an 18-point first half. The Baldwin, N.Y. native went 8-of-13 from the floor, highlighted by six three-pointers, while also adding four rebounds and four assists.

Behind a career night from redshirt freshman guard Erica Johnson (Mansfield, Ohio), the Ohio Women's Basketball team (16-1, 5-1 MAC) defeated Northern Illinois (11-7, 3-3 MAC), 69-53, inside the NIU Convocation Center on Wednesday night. "Road wins in this conference, they're all important," head coach Bob Boldon said.

Toledo 62, Central Michigan 59 // Box Score
Senior center Kaayla McIntyre led three Rockets in double figures with 16 points as Toledo rallied to defeat defending MAC champion Central Michigan, 62-59, at Savage Arena Wednesday night. CMU led by as many as 10 points in the first half but the Rockets outscored the Chippewas, 21-10, in the third quarter, and then staved off a late rally to win their third straight game.
