MAC Men’s Tennis Singles Player of the Week
Luka Vitosevic, Toledo – Senior, Belgrade, Serbia (Sportska Gimnazija)
Toledo senior Luka Vitosevic scored the Rockets’ lone point against Big-10 contender Purdue on Saturday, defeating Maksymilian Raupuk in two sets (6-4, 6-3).

Jannik Opitz, Western Michigan – Junior, Hildesheim, Germany (Josephinum Hildesheim)
Western Michigan junior team captain Jannik Opitz held down the No. 1 singles position for the Broncos during two sweeps over the University of Illinois at Chicago on Sunday, Jan. 13 in Kalamazoo, Mich. While improving to 11-3 overall on the season, Opitz won 6-2, 6-3 over Johan Hedstrom and 6-4, 6-3 over Niko Wasilewicz, guiding Western Michigan to a pair of 7-0 victories in the 2019 spring season opener.
MAC Men’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
Peter Kuszynski, Western Michigan–Freshman, Markham, Ontario (St. Brother Andre)
Jack Randall, Western Michigan–Freshman, Lockport, Ill. (Lockport Township High School)
Western Michigan freshmen Peter Kuszynski and Jack Randall, who are ranked No. 54 among the Top 60 National Doubles, earned two doubles wins over UIC at the No. 1 spot on Sunday. The pair won 7-6(4) and 6-4 during the doubleheader on Sunday to help the Broncos sweep both doubles matches and improve to 9-3 overall on the season.
