Central Michigan Sweeps Scholar Scholar-Athlete of the Week Honors
Female Scholar Athlete of the Week: December 31st, 2018 – January 6th, 2019
Central Michigan's Reyna Frost, Basketball (Senior, 3.70, Mathematics)
Scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season and in the process became the leading rebounder in MAC history in leading the Chippewas to a 94-71 victory over Akron in their conference opener. Frost’s career rebounding total of 1,231 surpasses the previous mark, which set more than three decades ago. Her performance came less than a week after she had posted a double-double in leading the Chippewas to a 90-80 upset of 24th-ranked Miami (Fla.) in Coral Gables, Fla.
Male Scholar Athlete of the Week: December 31st, 2018 – January 6th, 2019
Central Michigan's Rob Montgomery, Basketball (Junior, 3.30, Communications)
Scored a career-high 18 points and matched his career high with nine rebounds in leading CMU to an 84-77 victory at Miami (Ohio) in the Chippewas’ MAC opener.
