Led by a strong performance from junior setter Amber Seaman, the Ball State women's volleyball team picked up its second straight Mid-American Conference sweep with a 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-23) victory over Central Michigan Saturday night in Worthen Arena. The Cardinals (12-5; 3-1 MAC) used a balanced offensive attack to take down the Chippewas (3-13; 0-4 MAC), with four different players recording at least seven kills in the win.

Eastern Michigan 3, Toledo 0 // Box Score
The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team got back to their winning ways Saturday, Sept. 29, taking down the University of Toledo in straight sets at Savage Arena. The Eagles jumped on the Rockets early and never looked back, winning 25-14, 25-16, and 25-21. EMU outhit UT, .313 to .189, had more kills, 53 to 28, more digs, 61 to 57, and more aces, 5 to 1. The Green and White are now 3-1 in Mid-American Conference play, the best start in the Kimi Olson era.

Ohio 3, Akron 0 // Box Score
The Ohio volleyball team (8-9, 3-1 MAC) swept Akron (8-7, 0-4 MAC), 3-0, (25-21, 25-14, 25-22) tonight at the Convocation Center to wrap up its second weekend of 2018 Mid-American Conference play. Junior outside hitter Lizzie Stephens registered a team-high 10 kills on 30 total attempts for a .267 hitting percentage to lead the Bobcats. Stephens also registered a match-high three service aces for the Bobcats. Redshirt senior outside hitter Jaime Kosiore registered seven kills and 11 digs while redshirt senior right-side hitter Katie Nelson and junior middle blocker Sara Januszewski both compiled four kills and six total blocks for the Bobcats. Redshirt junior middle blocker Simone Miller chipped in four assisted blocks. Sophomore setter Vera Giacomazzi registered a match-high 26 assists and seven digs while sophomore libero/defensive specialist Macy Reihing recorded a team-high 14 digs.

Western Michigan 3, Bowling Green 1 // Box Score
Western Michigan volleyball clinched its first Mid-American Conference victory on Saturday, defeating Bowling Green in four sets (25-21, 25-15, 21-25, 27-25). Both senior Mary Murphy and sophomore Rachel Bontragereach earned a double-double against the Falcons. It's the second time this season both Bontrager and Murphy have recorded a double-double in the same match.
