NIU central midfielder Irvin Dominguez recorded two assists as the Huskies swept a pair of matches against UIC and Eastern Illinois last week. In the first match of the week against the Flames, Dominguez played a splitting ball through the UIC defense to Jan Maertins for the lone goal of the game as the Huskies claimed a 1-0 victory. Two days later, Dominguez recorded his second assist of the week as he played a cross from Nick Markanich for NIU’s second goal of the game in a 2-0 victory over Eastern Illinois. From his defensive midfield position, Dominguez helped the Huskies limit the Panthers to just three total shots, including none on goal.
With its two victories this past week, the Huskies have now won four-straight matches, their longest win streak since 2011, and have recorded three consecutive shutouts for the first time since 2012.

Akron sophomore David Egbo scored the game-winning tally in a 1-0 victory at Grand Canyon on Thursday. He tallied his team-leading seventh goal of the season in the fifth minute (4:50) to allow the Zips to earn a key road triumph and even their ledger at 3-3-1 on the campaign. On the season, Egbo leads Akron in goals (7), assists (3), points (17), shots (17), shots on goal (10) and game-winners (2).

Western Michigan freshman midfielder Caden Jackman led the Broncos to a fourth consecutive victory on Wednesday, Sept. 19, scoring the game-winning goal, his first collegiate goal, at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay during the 2-1 win.
