The Bowling Green State University volleyball team fought to win against the Akron Zips in a five-set match after initially trailing two sets to one. The result marks the team's sixth win in a row, improving the Falcons' record to 8-7 overall, and 2-0 in the MAC.

Eastern Michigan 3, Kent State 0 // Box Score
The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team continued Mid-American Conference play with a sweep at home against Kent State University Saturday, Sept. 22 inside the Convocation Center. EMU's 2-0 start against MAC competition is its best start to conference action since the 2010 season. Eastern applied the pressure early and never let up, delivering KSU its second straight MAC loss, 25-19, 25-20, 25-19.

Miami 3, Buffalo 0 // Box Score
The Miami University volleyball team completed a perfect opening weekend of Mid-American Conference play with a 3-0 (27-25, 25-17, 25-19) win over Buffalo on Saturday. The RedHawks improve to 10-4 overall and 2-0 in the MAC. The Bulls fall to 8-6 overall and 0-2 in the MAC. Miami used its blocking game and strong defense to get past UB. The Red and White put down 12 blocks while holding the Bulls to a .085 attack percentage for the match. Junior middle hitter Margaret Payne led the RedHawks with a career-high 11 blocks (one solo and 10 assisted), while sophomore outside hitter Sarah Wojick assisted on six blocks.

The Northern Illinois University volleyball completed a sweep of its first weekend of Mid-American Conference play Saturday night, defeating the Ball State Cardinals 3-1 (25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21) at Victor E. Court.

Ohio 3, Central Michigan 0 // Box Score
The Ohio volleyball team (7-8, 2-0 MAC) swept Central Michigan (3-11, 0-2 MAC) 3-0 (26-24, 25-21, 25-22), tonight at McGuirk Arena to close out its first weekend of 2018 Mid-American Conference play. Redshirt senior outside hitter Jaime Kosiorek  registered a match-high 12 kills to lead the Bobcats. Redshirt senior right side hitter Katie Nelson compiled 11 kills on 21 total attempts, finishing with a .429 hitting percentage. Junior outside hitter Lizzie Stephens  and junior middle blocker Sara Januszewski both registered nine kills while redshirt junior middle blocker Simone Miller registered a match-high four assisted blocks for the Bobcats. Sophomore setter Vera Giacomazzi registered a match-high 44 assists while sophomore libero/defensive specialist Macy Reihing recorded a match-high 16 digs.?

Toledo 3, Western Michigan 2 // Box Score
The Toledo women's volleyball team won its first MAC match of the season on Saturday, taking down Western Michigan in five sets. The Rockets won the first two sets, but allowed the Broncos to push the match to five sets, where UT came away with a 16-14 win. Zoe Birnbrich was a monster offensively, registering 20 kills and hitting .366. Chloee Kleespies added 17 kills, while Alexis Falzone tallied 10 terminations and three block assists. Carly Townsend was credited with 54 assists while Maurissa Leonard had a match-high dig total of 26.
