Michaela Finn, Kent State           
Senior, Ängelholm, Sweden

Senior Michaela Finn helped the Golden Flashes secure their second-straight tournament win of the 2018-19 season at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship. Finn finished in a tie for fifth place with a 1-over par 214 score. With the help from Finn, the Flashes were able to cut 19 strokes from their round one score. The team moved up eight spots in the second round while Finn leaped 21 positions. In the opening round, Finn shot a 4-over par 75 score with three birdies. The senior had a remarkable second-round performance shooting a 2-under par score. Finn went 16 holes for par or better with a flawless back-nine holes of bogey-free golf. Finn finished the final round with a 1-under par score with the help of three birdies, bringing her tournament total to 10. On the season, Finn carries a 71.50 average. Her last four rounds have been for par or better and three-of-which are under par.
 
Claire Hernandez, Western Michigan    
Senior, Palgrave, Ontario/Bill Crothers Seconday            

Hernandez started off her senior year setting a new career 54-hole low of 219 to take fourth overall at the Ball State Cardinal Classic. Hernandez was the top finisher from the five Mid-American Conference schools that competed in the 16-team field. Hernandez recorded 38 pars, the second most in the tournament and had seven pars. She opened the tournament with a 72 and followed it up with a 73, before finishing with a 74 on Tuesday.

Senior, Columbus, Ohio (Gahanna Lincoln)

Senior Emily Hughes led the way for the Bobcats this weekend at the 2018 Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State at the 6,204-yard The Players Clun in Yorktown, Ind. Hughes finished the tournament in eighth-place. Hughes opened the tournament on Monday with a 75, before finishing the day with a second round of 78. She then entered the day on Tuesday tied for 25th place, before shooting a season-low of 70 to move her up the leaderboard to 8th-place, giving her a two-day total of 223 (+7). Overall, her performance helped the Bobcats finish in ninth place at this year’s Cardinal Classic.
 
Liz Kim, Ball State           
Sophomore, Dublin, Ohio (Coffman)

Liz Kim carded a career-best 54-hole total at the Cardinal Classic, firing a 222 (+6) at The Players Club. Kim tied for sixth place for the best finish of her career. The sophomore opened with back-to-back rounds of 73 on the tournament's opening day and closed with a 76 in the final round. It was the first career top-10 finish for Kim, who led Ball State to a tie for second place as a team.
 
Pinyada Kuvanun, Toledo           
Senior, KHONKEAN, THAILAND

Senior Pinyada Kuvanun tied for 14th place at two-over par 218 (73-71-74) to help Toledo tie for 12th place at the Mary Fossum Invitational. The tournament consisted of seven teams that qualified for the 2018 NCAA Regionals and was played at the par-72, 6,334 Forest Akers West Golf Course. Kuvanun was tied for third in the top-notch field in par-3 scoring at -1 overall.

Sophomore Preaw Sripatrprasite (Bangkok, Thailand) led EMU with a 54-hole score of 235 (79-78-78) in 67th.

Katie Whitfield, Bowling Green
Freshman, Clemson, S.C. (D.W. Daniel)

Katie Whitfield, a freshman from Clemson, S.C., turned in the best performance of her young Falcon career this week at the Cardinal Classic (Sept. 17-18). By posting rounds of 73-72-79 for a 54-hole career low of 224, Whitfield finished tied for 11th out of 87 golfers. More impressively, the freshman carded 12 birdies, which tied for first across the entire field.
