University of Akron redshirt junior Mackenzie Andrews (Toowoomba, Australia) and sophomore Andre Bollam-Godbott (Brunswick, Ohio) directed the efforts of the Zips' women's and men's cross country teams at the John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana State on Saturday, Sept. 15, registering team-leading times of 18:24.1 and 25:51 to place 10th and 20th, respectively, in the big-school division.

It was yet another successful day for the men's cross country program as they traveled to Terre Haute, Ind. for the John McNichols Invitational. This was the Falcons' first 8k event of the year, but that did not hold them back from remaining near the top of the competition.

Sophomore Ashley Tutt (Channahon, Ill./Minooka) led the way with a second-place finish, just six seconds behind the individual champion, as the Northern Illinois University cross country team earned a third-place finish on Saturday morning at the John McNichols Invitational on the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
