MAC Youth Football Clinic Hosts Over 400 From Detroit PAL
MAC YOUTH FOOTBALL CLINIC WELCOMES 400 DETROIT YOUTH AT FORD FIELD
DETROIT, Mich. – On Monday, July 23 from 5:00-7:00 pm, the Mid-American Conference (MAC) hosted over 400 youth football players from the Detroit PAL football league for a free football clinic at Ford Field led by coaches and students from MAC schools.
The football clinic was hosted by the MAC and Ford Field. The clinic was led by coaching staffs from Western Michigan University, Central Michigan University, the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.
Clinic participants will receive two (2) free tickets to the 2018 Marathon MAC Football Championship Game, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 30 at Ford Field.
During the free, half-day clinic, participants had the opportunity to meet and work with college football coaches and students; run offensive, defensive and agility drills; learn proper techniques to promote on-field football safety; and learn about the importance of character development and good sportsmanship.
“Our annual Youth Football Clinic at Ford Field has become a staple within our schedule for our summer MAC Football Media Day Events here in Detroit,” said Dr. Jon Steinbrecher, Commissioner of the Mid-American Conference. “This is an incredible event and we are proud to partner with Ford Field in hosting this free youth clinic to benefit players in Detroit in an effort to give back to the city that continues to support our Marathon MAC Football Championship Game.”
