2018 MAC Men's Golf Academic All-MAC Team Announced
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Friday the 2018 Men’s Golf Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 28 student-athletes were named to the team from this past season.
Northern Illinois led this year’s squad with six student-athletes. Toledo followed close behind with four honorees.
Kent State’s Ian Holt, Chase Johnson, Bjarki Petursson & Miami’s Patrick Flavin were named to the academic team after earning 2018 MAC Men’s Golf First-Team honors.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
