MAC Recognizes Men's Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced its 2018 Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-MAC team on Wednesday.
A total of 58 student-athletes were named to this year’s team with Akron leading the conference at 12 honorees.
Senior John McCarthy sits on top of the 2018 squad with a 3.992 GPA in Buffalo’s biology program.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
