Mid-American Conference

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced its 2018 Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-Conference team on Wednesday. 
 
A total of 168 student-athletes were named to the squad this season. Of those honored, six recorded perfect 4.0 grade point averages; Aliyah Gustafson (BGSU, Human Movement & Sport Leisure Studies), Rachel Stute (BGSU, Health Science), Janina Pollatz (EMU, Electronic Media & Film), Sam Tollerud (KSU, exercise science), Maegan Murphy (MIA, Microbiology & Pre-Med), and Alyssa Atkinson (Ohio, Electrical Engineering).
 
Toledo leads the conference with 19 student-athletes named to the All-MAC team. Miami follows close behind with 18 honorees, while Akron and Ohio each place 17 on the 2018 roster.
 
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
