The University of Akron Track and Field team earned three berths to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on the opening day of the NCAA East Preliminary Round hosted by South Florida as senior Terrell McClain (Youngstown, Ohio), redshirt junior Jordan Latimer (Huber Heights, Ohio) and junior Matt Ludwig (Chardon, Ohio) punched their tickets to Eugene, Ore., June 6-9, with qualifying marks.

After successfully clearing the bar at a season-best height of 1.80m Thursday afternoon at the NCAA East Preliminary Round, Ball State junior high jumper Regan Lewisadvances to battle for the title of NCAA High Jump Champion at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships held June 6-9 in Eugene, Oregon.

Bowling Green
The Bowling Green State University track and field team will send multiple competitors to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Championships for the first time in 20 years. Redshirt senior Aliyah Gustafson finished third in the shot put at the NCAA East Region preliminary round, while redshirt junior Rachel Walny placed fifth in the 10,000. The top 12 finishers in each event advance to the national championship.

Mitchell Moore posted his second best ever time in the 400m hurdles on Thursday, the first day of the NCAA Track and Field East Preliminaries hosted by University of South Florida. Moore finished the race with a time of 52.14 to finish 29th. He was ranked 37th going into the race. He finished a mere inches from advancing to the quarterfinals.
