KENT, Ohio - The Kent State University men's golf team has earned a No. 5 seed in the NCAA DI Men's Golf Kissimmee Regional. The Golden Flashes will travel to Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Fla., hosted by the University of Central Florida.

The Golden Flashes are coming off a gritty, comeback performance at the 2018 MAC Championship, taking home the program's 25th conference title. Four golfers in the lineup were named to the All-MAC First Team, headlined by back-to-back MAC Golfer of the Year Ian Holt.

Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 14-16. Thirteen teams and ten individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.

Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 25-30 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla. Oklahoma State is the host institution for the 2018 championships.
