12 Student Athletes Named to NFCA All-Region Teams

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced that 389 student-athletes from 164 programs have received 2018 NFCA Division I All-Region accolades.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to the 2018 NFCA Division I All-American squads.
Representing the MAC in the Great Lakes Region was Erika Underwood, Jenny Van Geertry, and Bailey Curry, who were selected to the second team, along with Kailey Minarchick, Alaynie Woollard and Lacy Tolfree were named to the third team.
In the Mid-East Region, the MAC tabbed three to the first team incuding Danielle Stiene, Alex Day and Holly Speers. Kent State's Bailey Brownfield was also honored as a part of the second team, as well as teammate Kennadie Goth and Ohio's Michaela Dorsey who were named to the third team.
