2018 Gymnastics Academic All-MAC Teams Announced
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2018 Gymnastics Academic All-MAC team Tuesday. A total of 60 student-athletes were honored with this award.
Kent State led the team having 10 gymnasts honored, while Ball State, Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan all named nine athletes to the squad. Northern Illinois sophomore Allison Richardson and Bowling Green's Julia Beyer were the only athletes to record a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
