Bowling Green // Toledo Dual
After last year's Battle Of I-75 track and field meet came down to the final event and ended in a 100-99 Toledo victory over Bowling Green, it didn't appear that the meet could get any closer. But the two teams proved that it definitely could Thursday afternoon at Whittaker Track. For the second straight year, the meet came down to the final competition, but this time it ended in a 96-96 tie. Toledo won the 1600 relay by less than three seconds to keep the Falcons from earning their fifth victory over the Rockets in the last six meetings.

Marissa Dunn highlighted the second day of the Spartan Invitational for the Central Michigan track & field team with a victory in the women's hammer throw at Ralph Young Field. Dunn, a freshman from Novi, won with a distance of 183 feet, 6 inches.

Kent State senior Sam Tollerud punched her ticket to the 2018 NCAA Regionals Saturday at the Northeast Ohio Quad, held at both Lee Jackson Field and Stile Field House. The Golden Flashes' women won three individual events on Saturday, while the men won two on day two of the University of Akron's event.

The Ohio track and field team hosted its first meet of the season hosting the Ohio Cherry Blossom Saturday at Goldsberry Track. Ohio captured the 4x100 meter relay title with Bobcats junior Thelma Agyekum, senior Courtney Guiley, senior Mya Hodge and freshman Abby Summers clocking a time of 54.95.

The Toledo track and field team competed in the annual Battle of I-75 meet against Bowling Green today. After 18 neck-and-neck events, the competition was declared a tie with each program earning 96 points. The Rockets earned 10 first-place finishes on the day.
