WBB Recognizes 61 on Academic All-MAC Team
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Thursday the Women’s Basketball Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 61 student-athletes were named to the 2018 squad.
Bowling Green, Miami and Northern Illinois all placed eight student-athletes on this year’s team, while Buffalo followed close behind with seven honorees.
Rachel Myers (BG, Dietetics), Jordan Korinek (KSU, Special Education), Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott (Toledo, Communication) and Michaela Rasmussen (Toledo, Biology & Spanish) all finished the season with perfect 4.00 grade point averages.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
