Day 2 Results
Oxford, Ohio – The Missouri State Bears have taken control of first place as the second day of the 2018 MAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships comes to an end. MSU finished the day with 298.5 points through seven events. Eastern Michigan follows close behind in second with 283 points and Miami moves into third with 264.
The Bears won the first 3 events as Antonio Thomas started the evening off claiming the title in the 500-yard freestyle by almost three seconds, touching the wall in 4:22.76.
Artur Osvath and Lucas Paloschi got into the action for Missouri state as well, winning the 200-IM and the 50-Freestyle respectively for the Bears.
In the 1 meter dive, Eastern Michigan Freshman Al'x Pierre took gold as he finished with a score of 352.95 to give the Eagles their first victory of the evening.
Finally, the Missouri State Bears closed out the evening by claiming the 200 Freestyle Relay title in record time. The team of Paloschi, Schultz, Bish, and Senn touched the wall in 1:19.53 to end what was an impressive night for the MSU.
Prelims beginning tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. for the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breaststroke, and 100 Back. In the evening, finals start at 6:30 p.m. and include the 400 Medley Relay. Follow results of both sessions through Meet Mobile.
