Kyle Springer, Eastern Michigan—Senior, New Boston, Mich. (Davenport Assumption High School)
Eastern Michigan senior Kyle Springer helped the Eagles to a 2-0 weekend with wins over Buffalo and Kent State. Wrestling in his final home matches of his career, Springer was a point scoring machine. He started off winning by 12-5 decision against Buffalo, Feb. 2. He followed that up with a 22-7 technical fall win on Senior Day over nationally ranked Nick Monico. Springer now has bonus point wins in 13 of his 17 wins this season.

Kirk Johansen, Northern Illinois—Sophomore, Glendale Heights, Ill. (Glenbard North High School)
Northern Illinois sophomore Kirk Johansen started off the dual against No. 3-ranked Missouri on a high note when he defeated Aaron Assad, 7-2. The Huskie redshirt-sophomore handed Assad his eighth loss of the season. Johansen picked up his fourth victory of the season and is 2-0 in MAC duals. The Huskies, in the dual, scored the most points against Missouri in the conference this season. The Tigers defeated the Huskies, 24-12.
Cameron Kelly, Ohio—Junior, Bellbrook, Ohio (Bellbrook High School)
Ohio junior Cameron Kelly notched yet another win to his total on the season after the Bobcats battled Gardner-Webb on Sunday, Feb. 4. Kelly picked up a 16-1 technical fall over Gardner-Webb’s Philip Anderson in the 133-class to finish the dual and help lead Ohio to a 28-10 victory at home. The junior currently holds a 20-3 record and is now ranked No. 14 by InterMat.
