East Division
Cierra Hooks, Ohio, Guard
Freshman – Dayton, Ohio/Thurgood Marshall

Freshman guard Cierra Hooks led Ohio this past week, leading the Bobcats to an upset victory over Ball State on Feb. 3. In her one game this week, Hooks recorded her first career start and made the most of it. To go along with it being her first career start, Hooks registered her first career double-double with a career-high 28 points and 11 rebounds. She also dished out an assist and had three steals and only turned the ball over twice in 33 minutes of action. In the field, Hooks went 8-of-17 (.470) and went 12-of-19 from the free throw line, including hitting six free throws in the final minute to seal the 80-76 victory over Ball State. 
 
West Division
Tinara Moore, Central Michigan, Forward
Senior – Southgate, Mich./Southgate Anderson

Senior Tinara Moore led the Chippewas again both offensively and defensively last week as CMU posted two more wins to remain undefeated in MAC play. Central Michigan topped Buffalo (86-79) on Wednesday and then defeated Eastern Michigan (95-72) on Saturday. Moore averaged 26.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 blocks between the two games. She went 17-of-27 (63.0%) from the floor and 81.0 percent (17-of-21) from the free throw line. The senior led the way versus the Bulls with a double-double (24 pts., 15 rebs.) in 39 minutes on the court. Moore went 11-of-13 from the field for 28 points against the Eagles to go along with 10 rebounds, five assists and four blocks. Moore leads the team averaging 18.6 points per game. 
 
 
Other Nominees:
Oshlynn Brown, Ball State, Forward
Freshman – Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe

True freshman forward Oshlynn Brown averaged a double-double for the Cardinals in last week's Mid-American Conference action.  Brown began the week with her first double-double after finishing the night with 16 points and 11 rebounds helping Ball State to a 97-65 victory over Akron Wednesday night in Worthen Arena.  She then matched that performance on the road at Ohio with another 16 point, 11 rebound performance at the Convocation Center.  Brown currently leads the Cardinals defensively averaging 7.4 rebounds per contest.  She has pulled down double digit boards in four straight games for Ball State.  For the week, Brown averaged 16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds while shooting 62 percent (12-of-19) from the field.
 
Lauren Dickerson, Miami, Guard
Sophomore – Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North

Miami guard Lauren Dickerson was a key cog in the RedHawks going 2-0 this week and extending the team's win streak to four games. She averaged 18 points for the week to go with 3.5 rebounds per game, 6.0 assists per game and 3.0 steals per game. The sophomore needed just 12 points in a win over NIU on Wednesday as the team had five scorers in double figures. On Saturday at Bowling Green, Dickerson scored 22 first-half points and was held to two in the second but dished out eight assists as MU earned its third straight road win. 
 
Shaunay Edmonds, Akron, Point Guard
Sophomore – Pittsburgh, PA/Seton La Salle

Edmonds led the way for the Akron offense this past week against Ball State and Western Michigan scoring 14.5 points per game, dishing out 5.5 assists, and posting 1.0 steals per week. Edmonds averaged 27 minutes per game in the contests between the Cardinals and Broncos. Against Ball State, Edmonds dropped 13 points, six assists, and a steal, while leading the Zips with a team-high 16 points, five assists, and a steal against Western Michigan. 
 
Summer Hemphill, Buffalo, Forward
Sophomore – Buffalo, NY/Cardinal O’Hara

Sophomore forward Summer Hemphill continued her strong play in conference action this week as she was able to average a double-double for the week. The Buffalo native averaged 16.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals while recording back-to-back double-doubles and shooting 68.2% from the floor. In Wednesday's loss at Central Michigan, Hemphill finished off her third double-double of the season as she netted 15 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals while going 7-for-10 from the floor. In Saturday's win at Toledo, the Bulls first ever win in Toledo, the sophomore had a monster game as she netted 18 points and 13 rebounds in the 84-73 win. Hemphill snagged 11 offensive rebounds for the week, turning six of those into second chance buckets. Through 10 MAC games, Hemphill is averaging 13.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.0 blocks while shooting 61.4% from the floor.
 
Marley Hill, Western Michigan, Center
R-Senior – Cleveland, Ohio/Columbus Africentric

Redshirt senior Marley Hill put together an impressive week at home for Western Michigan, highlighted by a record-breaking performance against Akron. In two games, Hill averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Broncos while shooting an astonishing 75 percent from the floor. She finished the week dropping a career-high 27 points, the most points by any Bronco this season, to go along with 10 rebounds and five assists all while not committing a single turnover in the victory over the Zips on Saturday. The double-double was also her second of the season and fourth since transferring to the Brown & Gold. 
 
Jordan Korinek, Kent State, Forward
Senior – Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/St Vincent-St. Mary

Jordan Korinek posted a highly-efficient 25.0 points per game and grabbed 9.0 rebounds per game to lead Kent State to a split of its first two games of the second half of the conference season. Korinek scored 50 points while shooting better than 64 percent from the field and better than 92 percent at the foul line. She started the week by scoring one point per minute for a career-high 36 points on 12-for-18 shooting in an 81-57 victory over Bowling Green. The All-MAC forward added 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in the contest. Korinek added 14 points and 9 rebounds in just 27 minutes while playing a key role in a late comeback attempt Saturday against Northern Illinois. After sitting for nearly 8 minutes, she re-entered with 1:48 remaining in the third period and contributed 6 points and 4 rebounds as part of a 17-8 run that made it a 4-point game with 3:29 to play. Over the 2 games, Kent State outscored its opponents by 17 in the 63 minutes while Korinek was on the floor and was outscored by 3 in the 17 minutes she was on the bench. 
 
Courtnie Lewis, Eastern Michigan, Guard
Freshman – Belton, Mich./Belton

Freshman Courtnie Lewis turned in her second straight 20-point game, and the third of her career, in Eastern Michigan's clash with MAC West-leading Central Michigan, Feb. 3. Lewis led the Green and White with 20 points and seven rebounds, while knocking down 3-of-6 triples. It marked the seventh consecutive double-digit performance for Lewis, who ranks in the top-15 nationally in "true" freshman scoring. 
 
Kaayla McIntyre, Toledo, Center
Junior – Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy

Junior Kaayla McIntyre averaged a team-high 23.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals in a pair of games last week. McIntyre shot a sensational 70.4 percent (19-of-27) from the field and 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from the charity stripe in 31.0 minutes per contest. McIntyre was one of two Rockets to score in double figures in both games. She opened the week with 17 points, three boards and one theft in 31 minutes at Western Michigan. Three days later against MAC East Division leader Buffalo, McIntyre poured in a career-high 30 points, to go along with five caroms, three helpers and two rejections in 31 minutes. The Toledo native shot 12-of-17 from the field and 6-of-13 from the free throw line against the Bulls to surpass the 20-point barrier for the fourth time as a Rocket. It was also the most points scored by a Rocket since Brenae Harris had 39 vs. Columbia in the first round of the ASU Classic on Dec. 5, 2015.  

Courtney Woods, Northern Illinois, Forward/Guard
Junior – Brisbane, Australia/St. Margaret’s Anglican

Courtney Woods averaged 19 points and nine rebounds a game as she helped lead NIU to a 1-1 week. The Huskie junior went 16-of-32 from the field, including 5-of-10 from three-point territory. Woods opened the week with her sixth double-double of the year with 17 points and 10 rebounds against Miami. She played a key role in ending the Huskies' seven-game losing streak with a game-high 21 points and eight rebounds in NIU's 72-62 win at Kent State. The Aussie went 9-of-17 from the field with six assists.
