The University at Buffalo women's basketball team struggled from the field on Friday afternoon as the Bulls shot just 27.6% against Dayton as the Flyers defeated the Bulls, 72-59. Buffalo falls to 6-2 on the season with the loss. Buffalo got off to a tough start to the contest, as the Bulls were outscored 17-8 in the first quarter, but the Bulls were able to get back into the game in the second as a three-pointer from sophomore Hanna Hall pulled UB back within 19-17 with 5:47 left. The Bulls would tie the contest up at 21-21 on a Theresa Onwuka layup with 4:23 left and UB would go on to take their first lead of the afternoon following free throws from Cierra Dillard. With Buffalo leading 27-26, the host Flyers went on an 8-0 run and took a 34-29 lead into the break.

Kent State 54, Robert Morris 46 // Box Score
Kent State overcame a slow shooting start to beat Robert Morris, 54-46, Friday night inside of the North Athletic Complex Student Rec Center. The Golden Flashes (4-4) rallied from an eight-point first-half deficit to earn their first road win and even their record. Despite a 3-for-23 shooting performance over the first 20 minutes, Kent State only trailed by a score of 22-20 at halftime.

Northern Illinois 73, Southern Illinois 82 // Box Score
Sophomore guard Gabby Nikitinaite (Orpington, Kent, UK/Coopers School) led the Northern Illinois University women's basketball team with a career-high 27 points Friday night, but the Huskies could not withstand a fourth-quarter three-point barrage from the Southern Illinois Salukis in an 82-73 loss at SIU Arena in the Compass Challenge. "I'm really proud of Gabby tonight," said head coach Lisa Carlsen. "She did a real nice job for us. I thought she was aggressive, took some good shots, and made some tough shots."
