HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marreon Jackson scored with 3 seconds left in overtime and Toledo, which blew a 20-point second-half lead, defeated Marshall 75-74 on Saturday.
Toledo (9-1), winner of seven straight, was led by Jaelan Sanford's 20 points. Jackson scored 13 and Willie Jackson added 12 points and nine rebounds.

Marshall (5-3) was led by Jon Elmore with 21 points and CJ Burks scored 17. The senior guards average 46.3 percent of the Thundering Herd's scoring.

There were five lead changes in the final 1:31 of overtime, the last on Marreon Jackson's winning basket. Marshall turned the ball over on its final possession.

Toledo led 48-28 early in the second half before Marshall rallied. The Thundering Herd took the lead at 57-55 when Rondale Watson scored in the paint with 5:38 remaining.
Toledo had possession with 12 seconds left in regulation, trailing 65-62. After a pair of Toledo timeouts, Jaelan Sanford made a 3-pointer to tie it then blocked Elmore's 3-pointer to send the game to overtime.

Miami 85, Fort Wayne 79

OXFORD, Ohio – A season-best 15 three-pointers and a 50 percent overall shooting performance from the field helped lead the Miami University men's basketball team to its third straight win, an 85-79 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday. The RedHawks improve to 6-4 on the season, while the Mastodons fall to 6-6.

Sophomore guard Nike Sibande led Miami with 24 points, including four 3-pointers. He scored 16 points in the second half, helping hold off Purdue Fort Wayne's comeback attempt. Sophomore forward Dalonte Brownhad 21 points for the 'Hawks.

Miami was 15-for-35 from behind the arc with six different RedHawks draining a long ball. In addition to Sibande's four triples, Brown had three, while junior forward Bam Bowman, senior guard Darrian Ringo and sophomore guard Isaiah Coleman-Lands had two each.

Western Michigan 88, Youngstown State 77

YOUNGSTOWN, Pa. -- Sophomore Michael Flowers scored a career-high 25 points and Western Michigan cruised to an 88-77 victory over Youngstown State on Saturday.

Flowers hit 9 of 14 shots from the floor, 3 of 7 from 3-point range, and added four rebounds and three assists for the Broncos (5-4). Flowers had 15 points as Western Michigan shot 59 percent from the floor (19 of 32) and 55 percent from distance (11 of 20) to take a 49-38 lead at halftime. Josh Davis had his fourth double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Broncos are the only NCAA team with two players with at least four double-doubles -- Seth Dugan has five. Jared Printy scored 14.

Garrett Covington led five Penguins in double figures with 15 points. Kendale Hampton came off the bench to score 14, Darius Quisenberry and reserve Antwan Maxwell Jr. had 11 points apiece and Donel Cathcart III scored 10. Youngstown State shot 44 percent from the floor, including 34.5 percent from distance, and was outrebounded 42-32.

The two teams were playing for the first time in 18 years. Western Michigan leads the all-time series 4-1.

Eastern Michigan 105, Central State 53

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team got back in the win column with a comfortable 105-53 victory over Central State University Saturday, Dec. 8, inside the Convocation Center.
 
The Eagles (5-5) reached the century mark for the fourth time in Convocation Center history, marking the first time EMU has scored 100-or-more points in a single game since dropping 108 against Marygrove, Nov. 25, 2015. With his second victory in as many seasons over his alma mater, head coach Rob Murphy improved to 26-0 against non-NCAA Division I opposition.

Ohio 78, Radford 69

ATHENS, Ohio -- Jason Carter scored 19 points and Teyvion Kirk scored 17 to lead Ohio to a 78-69 victory over Radford on Saturday.

Doug Taylor grabbed 16 rebounds for the Bobcats (6-3) and Ben Vander Plasscored 14 points.

Four players scored in double figures for the Highlanders (6-3). Carlik Joneshad 16 points and six assists, Caleb Tanner also had 16 points, Travis Fields scored 14 and Devin Hutchinson added 10.

Radford, which has road wins over Notre Dame and Texas, struggled this time out, especially in the first half. The Highlanders shot 31 percent from the field and missed 8 of 13 3-pointers before halftime. The Highlanders shot 47 percent and made 7 of 13 3-pointers in the second half.

Ohio led 32-26 at halftime after shooting 54 percent from the field. The Bobcats finished at 51 percent with a 46-22 scoring advantage in the paint.

#17/18 Buffalo 80, St. Bonaventure 62?

OLEAN, N.Y. -- After spending time back home consoling his mother, Buffalo guard Jayvon Graves paid tribute to his late grandfather the best way he knew how.

Graves hit a career-best five 3-pointers and scored 19 points in helping the No. 17 Bulls remain undefeated with an 80-62 win at St. Bonaventure on Saturday.

"It meant a lot. I made sure I dedicated this game to my grandpa," said Graves, who learned of his grandfather's death following Buffalo's 89-55 win over Le Moyne on Wednesday. "Probably the most difficult time of my life. I never cry in front of people. That was just tough for me."

Bulls coach Nate Oats was proud of how his junior guard performed, given how Graves returned to Ohio to be with his family.

"Back in time for practice yesterday and came out and played the game of his life," Oats said. "To come out and perform like that, with that on his mind, I'm really happy."

Graves made four of his 3-pointers in the first half, and finished 5 of 6 from long range.

Jeremy Harris scored 18 points, while CJ Massinburg scored 14 points and added nine rebounds for Buffalo (9-0), which continues to enjoy its best start to a season since going 15-0 in 1930-31.

The Mid-American Conference Bulls began the day one of the nation's 10 undefeated teams, and continued a run that began last season.

Buffalo improved to 16-1 in its past 17, with the only loss coming to Kentucky in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Kent State 83, Wright State 76?

KENT, Ohio -- Jaylin Walker had 25 points and seven rebounds and hit three 3-pointers to help Kent State win its sixth straight in an 83-76 victory over Wright State on Saturday.

The Golden Flashes (8-1) took the lead for good at 75-74 on Antonio Williams' layup with 2:13 left in the game. That sparked an 8-0 run as the Raiders (4-6) missed four consecutive 3-point attempts and Kent State led 81-74 with 14 seconds to go.

Kent State led 39-34 at the half and extended to its largest lead on Williams' 3-point play to open the second-half scoring. Wright State took the lead by scoring the next 10 points and stayed in front for much of the second half.

Jalen Avery added 15 points, Philip Whittington scored 12 and Williams had 11 for the Flashes.

Cole Gentry had 19 points to lead the Raiders. Alan Vest scored 16, Loudon Loveadded 14 and Mark Hughes 11.

Central Michigan 95, Southern Utah 86

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Larry Austin Jr. scored 20 points, Kevin McKayadded 16 points and 13 rebounds and Central Michigan beat Southern Utah 95-86 on Saturday night.

Central Michigan (8-2) has won four of its last five games while Southern Utah (4-3) has lost three of four. The Chippewas avenged an 86-80 loss at Southern Utah last season that snapped a seven-game win streak.

David DiLeo made five 3-pointers and all four of his free-throw attempts to finish with 19 points for Central Michigan. Shawn Roundtree Jr. added 14 points, Rob Montgomery had 11 and Matt Beachler 10. The Chippewas shot 28 of 40 from the line, with Austin and Roundtree making eight free throws apiece.
Jason Richardson scored 19 points and Brandon Better had 17 to lead Southern Utah, which shot 54 percent from the field but committed 16 turnovers and 26 fouls.

Central Michigan built a 42-31 halftime advantage. Southern Utah pulled to 53-45, but DiLeo and Beachler answered with back-to-back 3-pointers and Southern Utah didn't get closer.

Bowling Green 97, Green Bay 68

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Justin Turner had 25 points and six assists, Demajeo Wiggins added to his nation-leading double-double total and Bowling Green defeated Green Bay 97-68 on Saturday.

Wiggins, a 6-foot-10 senior forward, picked up his ninth double-double with 12 points and his 19 rebounds increased his nation-leading rebounding average of 12.2.

It was the fourth consecutive home win for the Falcons (5-5).
Sandy Cohen III had 16 points and five steals for Green Bay (5-4). PJ Pipes had 13 points and ShanQuan Hemphill added 10.

Green Bay, which was averaging 86.5 points per game, shot 36.5 percent from the field and made only 9 of 28 3-pointers.
Bowling Green never trailed and the score was never tied. The Falcons' largest lead was 35 points at 78-43. Bowling Green had 51 rebounds to Green Bay's 29.

Butler 95, Northern Illinois 68

INDIANAPOLIS -- Sean McDermott scored a career-high 23 points, tying his career best with seven 3-pointers, and Butler breezed to a 95-68 victory over Northern Illinois on Saturday.
Paul Jorgensen sank four 3-pointers and scored 16 for the Bulldogs (7-2), who have held all but one opponent under 70 points this season. Kamar Baldwinfinished with 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Reserve Joey Brunkscored 15 -- shooting 6 for 6 from the field and 3 for 3 from the free-throw line -- and Henry Baddley came off the bench to score 11 with five rebounds.

Butler shot the lights out in the first half, connecting on 19 of 28 attempts from the floor (68 percent) and 11 of 17 from 3-point range, to take a 51-28 lead into intermission.

Eugene German paced the Huskies (5-4) with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Levi Bradley scored 14.

The two schools played each other for the first time since 1997 when both were members of the defunct Midwestern Collegiate Conference. Butler improved to 6-0 at home this season and notched its 48th straight win on its homecourt against nonconference opponents. Only Duke and Arizona have longer streaks.
