MAC Men’s Swimmer/Diver of the Week
Kai Hoffmann-Dussome, Southern Illinois University
Junior, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
Won both the one-and three-meter dive (318.15 & 343.66) against conference foe Missouri State. Hoffmann-Dussome earned two of the three wins on the men's side. One-meter and three-meter dive. Earned career-high score in three-meter dive. Ranks second in MAC in three-meter. Ranks third in one-meter in MAC.
MAC Women’s Swimmer/Diver of the Week
Sarah Watson, Akron
Freshman, Winnipeg, Manitoba (St. Mary's Academy)
Freshman Sarah Watson turned in a phenomenal weekend as she helped Akron to its fifth consecutive Zippy Invitational title. She earned three individual wins throughout the weekend and was also a member of all five winning relay teams. Individually, Watson recorded personal best times as she took first in the 200 individual medley (1:58.39), 100 butterfly (52.44), and 100 freestyle (49.41). All of her respective times also fell under the NCAA Division I B Cut time standard in addition to setting a new meet record in the 200 individual medley. She swam the initial leg of the 200 freestyle relay, recording a personal best 50 freestyle time of 23.01. The freshman also helped the 800 freestyle (7:12.20) and 400 freestyle relays (3:17.46) set new Ocasek Natatorium and Zippy Invitational records. Additionally, she was a member of the 400 medley relay (3:39.35) and 200 medley relay (1:39.04), both of which finished first. Watson’s times in the 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle all rate first in the MAC, while her 100 butterfly time ranks in the top 25 nationally. The Zips’ 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle and 800 freestyle relays all rank among the top 25 in the nation.

On Friday's matchup against Missouri State, senior Jared Sutphin took the top spot in the 100 freestyle with a 47.26, over a second faster than the runner up.

Daisy Platts, Bowling Green
Freshman, LEICESTER, UK
Daisy Platts earned two first-place finishes in the 100 and 200 yd backstroke finals, and helped Falcon relay teams finish in the top five of four relay events. Platts picked another top-five (fourth) finish in the 200 yd IM (2:02.07)
Nicole Roitenberg, Buffalo
Sophomore, Beaconsfield, Montreal, Canada (Alexander Von Humboldt)
Sophomore Nicole Roitenberg broke three school records this past weekend at the Zippy Invite, including two in individual events. She joined Anna Vitolins, Andrea Ernst, and Katelyn Burns as they broke the school record in the 400-yard medley with a time of 3:41.17, placing second in the event. Individually, Roitenberg would see another program record fall on Saturday afternoon as she collected a third place finish in the 100 backstroke event with a time of 53.97, surpassing the former best time of 54.19 set by Julia Box in 2017. On Sunday, Roitenberg would shatter a third school record on the Weekend, as she re-broke the program-best time in the 200 yard backstroke she set in 2017, claiming third place in the race with a time of 1.56.68.
