Kent State held visiting Clarion without a field for almost the entire first period and went on to a 92-38 victory in the final non-conference game of the season Monday at the M.A.C. Center. The 54-point win is the third-largest margin of victory in program history. The Golden Flashes (7-4) scored the game's opening 19 points and finished with the highest scoring performance since putting 97 on the board against Northern Illinois on Jan. 11, 2017. Kent State shot a season-best 52.4-percent on 33-for-63 from the field, which included a season-best 11 three-pointers.

The Northern Illinois University women's basketball team capped a wild day Monday with a 109-102 double overtime win over the Brown Bears at Victor E. Court. The game was delayed due to a leak in the NIU Convocation Center roof and eventually moved to Victor E. Court.
